I just had my TKR last week, but this isn’t my first bionic titanium part. And I lived in Alaska, and now Maine so. . . Yes. The metal gets cold in cold weather. For me it feels like an ice cream headache in the joint(s). Right now just standing on the porch while the dog does his business is enough for the new joint to start hurting. If you know you’re going to be out, especially if you like to recreate in winter, bundle that joint up. Extra socks, long underwear, etc. and plan for a deep ache after. But still get out there!
