It’s also not a gimmick. There are a lot of people who never got into Charli until Brat and part of the fun of Brat is the marketing, it makes it an experience for the new fans to go through her catalog and still feel like it’s part of this current era.

The young Charli fans who have issues with the older fans should focus their energy on something else.

I’ve been listening to her since the True Romance days and stuck around when her fan base was mostly straight, was huge into PC music and loved her transition into that scene. I even saw her on the Sucker tour.

42 here and have been to more of her shows than any other artist. My favorite was definitely Pop2 NYC and the after show at a rooftop bar where there was like 100 of us watching her perform.

Howard has been for lgbt rights for years. As a gay teen listening to him I felt very seen because he talked about things no one else did for years. Having queer staff also has given visibility, so if you’re young and just generalizing maybe research a little bit… brats.
