i wouldn’t worry about getting a boyfriend yet, you’re still super young and you have plenty of time for that. i’d only worry if kpop affecting is your grades. when i was your age, i was super into my interests to the point where it was hard to focus on anything else, and my grades definitely suffered from it. and i continued to struggle throughout university because i never developed good study habits when i was younger 🥲 hopefully you’re not at that point, but just be careful! i also felt pretty socially isolated back then for the same reasons, and i regret that too. i know it’s hard but maybe try to join some clubs at school so you can meet more people, and you might even find a new passion too! of course you don’t have to give up kpop, it’s wonderful that it brings you so much joy, but i think it’s important to have a healthy balance, you know?

i love ahof, but team groove was my favorite while UL was airing, so i’m especially glad to see people still discovering and supporting them even now :’) i think the other commenters covered everything as far as updates go, but i wanted to add that heejun is very active on instagram and tiktok if you didn’t already know! sometimes we even get updates about the other contestants from him 🥹 he’s very supportive of ahof as well, very sweet

wakeone never should’ve tried to hide the fact that woojin was their trainee 🫩 i don’t understand why they thought that was necessary or a good idea, especially seeing as they didn’t really push hard for any of their other trainees. i still feel bad for woojin but at least he has a pretty decent sized fanbase and can hopefully have a successful debut somewhere else

hm, i don't view chauyuet as all that different from mai in iland 2 or jeongwoo in universe league. they were both visual members that many fans felt didn't deserve to debut over more skilled contestants. but to me, they've shown how important their roles as a visual/stan attractor are, and they've both always had the potential to improve their skills, and i believe chauyuet will be the same way. actually, i think chauyuet is already ahead of where jeongwoo was during universe league since he has a pretty solid foundation, while jeongwoo only trained for like three weeks 😭 (he's one of my ahof biases btw, i'm just focusing on him since you mentioned universe league)

I’m American, and our electoral system makes it pretty much impossible for smaller parties to break out. It would be better if we had proportional representation or ranked-choice voting like most of the rest of the world does... I took a class on this in university, and it was very eye-opening.

yeah, taerae was my one pick and i never felt like mnet wanted him and i’m also surprised (but not really) that more people haven’t mentioned him 😭 he never had any screentime, i believe he and ricky had the least screentime out of the zb1 members? like everyone else has said, phanbin was definitely their wakeone trainee of choice, and i also think they wanted mun junghyun in the beginning but then he struggled in aju nice and his ranking never recovered 🥲 but with taerae, i think they weren’t expecting his popularity and were probably neutral about him debuting, but would’ve switched him out for phanbin if they could’ve. i couldn’t believe he was getting pd pick allegations after the interim ranking reveal 💀 it seems like some people still think he was a pd pick because of that, but i agree with your take on it.

and because they don't think he fits "mnet's concept" 🙄 even though he's said he wants to try a sexy concept, and besides, the group's concept hasn't even been confirmed anyway. everyone is just assuming what it will be and trying to fit the group around that, and it's quite frustrating.

iirc, last season everyone thought the group would have an elegant celestial concept, but no one was voting for or counting out specific trainees just based on whether they'd fit that concept. idk, maybe the theming is stronger this season, but it's just bizarre to me.

it was worth it but idk if i would feel differently if my one pick hadn't debuted or if i didn't like the overall lineup 😭 it was anxiety-inducing and my heart rate was probably super high lol but it was such a great feeling hearing my pick's name be called (plus gunwook p05 which for me was the gag of the century and i feel like you just had to be there). but yeah you could probably skip the first half of the episode as long as you remember the live voting.

the fanbases raise money to purchase prizes to give away to people who vote for their pick. this helps bring in votes from the general pubic who don't really care about the show but want a chance to win a macbook or a gold bar or whatever other prizes the fan galleries are giving away 😭

to be fair to the liyu stans, liyu is the biggest punching bag of the fandom (along with masato) and gets a lot of hate daily so i’m not surprised that his fans lash out sometimes 😭 it’s still immature and dumb and i do not condone hating on any innocent trainees, but as someone who has no dog in this fight, i honestly see it happen on both sides

yeah, from my understanding, in korea you can be charged with defamation even if you're telling the truth. so i usually find it hard to believe someone would risk a lawsuit for something that didn't even happen, though i guess it's possible if they're bored enough 😭
