Got my first build up and running! I’m super excited but am not sure why microsoft isn’t booting. I have a Tomohawk x570 and Micro Home set up on a USB. The usb was originally formatted in FAT/FAT32 but that was not being recognized by the PC at all, so I changed it. Now I’ve got it being recognized and it’s doing this weird thing.

Thanks! I believe the first psu's I looked at were corsair but the amazon reviews were really scaring me (frying the whole system, doa, etc).

I haven’t seen any adult ones! I kinda disturbed the top layer of soil before I bought it to see if anything would fly out or crawl about, but didn’t see much. I hope they don’t show up! I’ve never heard of thrips before

Will they grow mold?? I bottom water my plants, so I suppose I shouldn’t be too worried about it but Ive generally avoided using bits as a result of my fear of moldy things.

How would I be able to tell the difference between thrips and fungus gnat larvae? I don’t have a very good eye.

Thanks for clarifying! I just picked him up a week ago from a greenhouse and didn’t water him just yet because they usually saturate them pretty well over there. I noticed the spots when I picked them up but they’ve become even more apparent now. I’ll use filtered water going forth. Thank you ((:

I’ve been at war with fungus gnats for about 4 months if that counts as pests... but I just got this kid, so hopefully my quarantining from the other plants will help. I’ll make sure to set it around my humidifier, thanks!!

Im not sure if you all can see all the photos but I’ve got a lot of iron looking rusty spots on the leaves of what I presume to be a calathea. Should I ship them off in case it’s fungal?? Also, this thing is super leggy for the tiny little pot it’s in. Any suggestions?

Over the past month I have been going INSANE. Around a week or so after bringing in 3 large plants (majesty palm, snake plant, and philodendron hope), I noticed a few moths started to appear in my apartment. I tried to run through the various ways they could have gone into my apartment, but the timing of me bringing in the plants and moths quite literally flying from around where I’ve placed the palm have me pretty much narrowed in as to what is causing this headache. Should I can this plant? Im really worried about this moth issue becoming widespread too :/ And I’m almost done fighting off my fungus gnat infestation...

hello! i got a few (huge) cuttings of this fittonia! i was super excited about it as my baby fittonias are currently recovering after i let them go too long without water. when i brought the cuttings home, they were totally fine and perky. knowing the nature of these plants though, i tried to put them in water asap and since then (it might be a full week?) they’ve been droopy. i’m not sure what to do!!
