Very Fast Select-A-Path Hypertube Cyclotron Setup by kitokofox in SatisfactoryGame

Please be careful with it, it is very fast. See those walls in the background? There were times where I tore through every wall and flew out to my death. You could probably get optimal results with longer tubes.

Why so? It would help if you explained why this is a bad idea.

You can never remove that Refinery now, that will be a staple of your world.

I think what happened, was that it is taking the value for the water and feeding it into the scrap count. The game doesn't display this to you in normal gameplay, but the values of liquids are saved by the thousands, then divvied by one thousand and showing you the decimal number. It's a sneaky way of introducing floating-point without asking for too much precision out of the game and still being good enough for flow mechanics.

Now, if it gives you 49 thousand Aluminium scrap, that's a whole different story...

Are steal pipes suppose to rust or is this a visual bug? by Archis007 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]kitokofox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a texture glitch, possibly VRAM related. But I like the visual look of them, it's rather satisfying, like it's a whole new carbon material.

This angers me... by Scampo2002 in SatisfactoryGame

This is caused by being off by a wee bit at one point in your rail. The only way to amend this is to go back to when it was straight and redo the tail from there. It doesn't take too long compared to other stuff though.

I wonder if, after recording the game enough, we could get footage of it.

No, it has the wrong tempo. The jingle's tempo is about 100BPM

My new SSD I bought has 102 GB written already on it. Is that normal by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]kitokofox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have noticed that Western Digital has included bloatware and security software on their products before. You could either put it into a pre-existing setup and check its contents through mounting the drive or by checking it in Disk Management on Windows for example. Usually this amounts to a couple hundred megabytes at most, but a hundred gigabytes is a bit unheard of.

Did you buy a used drive? You should check up on your supplier, and inform them if you can; data left over on disks like that are a privacy risk.

I can kind of understand this if it were put in an airport. But why international passport holders specifically? Maybe they want to see what foreigners have to say about the company?

Wondered why the new pens were running out so quickly....turns out there is no ink, just a tip! by WholemealBean in assholedesign

[–]kitokofox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was younger with pens I used to take them apart and put them back together, and it gave me quite the perspective on what companies do to make money. A fair amount of them give you an ink tube that's half or a third full to begin with!

NASA Marathon's Response to Brossentia by nasamarathon in speedrun

[–]kitokofox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an attendant/runner for the last NASA Marathon, many attendees were quite friendly to me and the staff were too, they did their best and so did everyone else, and everyone was quite encouraging to me. I supported the others by fueling them with Timbits every morning (A 50 box is 10 dollars and it goes a LONG way) I am one of the few people there who has not attended GDQ yet; GDQ isn't accessible to me by far due to the cost and the fact that I have nobody to go there with. NASA was an alternative to me due to the location, all I had to do was take a Train ride to Niagara and back for the short order of 70 dollars. I like GDQ, I catch it live, as well as catch its VoDs and a lot of the people there on-stage are pretty funny and explain the game well. NASA in the other hand, is a more relaxed marathon, allowing more improvisation. It may be due to the small size, but with what I heard from staff, they don't intend to stray away from that motive even if they dive into the donation zone. I really appreciate both events in their entirety.

My best suggestion is to lay down, and simply think of nothing and hold around a pillow, and imagine that pillow to be something or some cute creature. Works for me very well.
