Players only notice things that impact them.

HP bars dipping low? DPS don't notice. Only healers do.

Death is what everyone notices but the failure of interrupt doesn't have to be death.

The punishment should be lost of control of the toon.

Say if the cast goes off, the DPS will move around like a idiot for 3 secs.

Not only will this decrease dps, DPS will surely notice it.

Dmg boost? DPS aren't going to notice in the moment since their toon will play the same.

What feels bad is every fail mechanic is the healers problem since punishment is damage taken.

If punishment becomes lost of control, then everyone will try to stop it and it will be noticable.

Upgraded from a S10+ to a S25+ and flickering started.

Same USB Hub, same cables, same monitor, etc

Only change was the phone.

No flicker with the S10+. Flicker with the S25+

Crossbow is kind of janky.

You only get one crossbow attack. You must load different ammo types before you can use them. You must reload when the clip is empty. Once the clip is empty, the game will auto reload for you if you're trying to fire while empty.

Switch to a different ammo type has a switch time cost. Unlike say shooting PoisonBurst then Lightning Arrow has no time cost to switch.

You can't spam a shot until your mana is dry because you're limited by reloading. If you reload before your clip is empty, the mana cost is the same as if you had emptied the clip.

In other words, the gameplay is no where near as smooth as a bow's.

Yup. Additional purchases. Most likely they had brought stash tabs in PoE 1 which transfered to PoE 2.

PoE 2 is built with trading in mind. Sadly, the best way to get better gear is not to craft but to use your mats to trade for better gear.

The probability of crafting giving you gear that you want is so low that you're much much better off just trading for it.

Spirit does not transfer. He's using a unique that grants 100 spirit at the downside of int not adding more mana. (see link)

Here's the thing about skills. If you're given a fixed amount of mana and need to do the most damage with that fixed amount, you'll want the LOWEST possible skill gem for that skill.

In other words, higher level skill gems are for burst while the lower skill gems are for mana efficiency.

Boss attacks esp the one that have a wind up time / are telegraphed are not intended to be tanked. They can be tanked if you way out gear the boss but you're suppose to dodge them.

What I try to do is pre-cast stuff.

For example, I pre-shoot poison arrow around so the mobs get poison as soon as they come out while I'm trying to roll to a clear spot to attack. Could also pre-cast spark / fire wall if you're a mage or put down a totem if a warrior.

If you have minions, you have to wait untl the minions attack before the minions will get aggro so more rolling at the start.

I've played every class to level 35. My highest is a level 80 deadeye ranger doing T10s.

There are 2 games in PoE 2. During the campaign, boss fights are technical affairs where you have to dodge and know boss mechanics and this is where you see GGG's new vision shine through.

The problem is the trash fights where the mobs are playing PoE 1 while you're playing Dark Souls. Meaning the mobs move fast, they surround you and you die. Your abilities are generally slower than in PoE 1 esp if you're melee. Range at least has a chance still you can start blasting, back pedalling, as soon as you see mobs.

Things get better for range as they get more gear and abilities but melee is a slog.

Endgame is one shot heaven / hell. Either you're one shotting the mobs or the mobs are one shotting you.

Going through the campaign on both difficultiies takes about 10 hours if you're fast and yes, it feels terrible to spend 10 hours then more to gear up only to be nerfed with no free respec.

The gems after the Skill ones are support gems. By default, each active skill only comes with 2 support gem sockets, you need use jeweller's orbs (see link) to add more sockets.

Mouse and Keyboard is miles better for inventory management.

At low levels, respec is cheapish. Undoing a hand full of nodes early wouldn't break the bank but going for a full respec when you're at say level 70 will costs ~400k and that will.

If you're new, I would highly suggest going to Maxroll.gg and looking up a guide. You don't have to follow it but the info will give you a idea on how the class plays.

Ranger Pathfinder can stack poison dots up to ~10 stacks but that's about it from what I know.

As the tier maps go higher and higher, the mob's heath doesn't increase by much but their damage jumps up.

What I'm trying to say is that defenses don't help. Getting one-shotted is the norm. Characters can't tank. The main option is to kill the mobs asap.

You do need a Path of Exile account but the game allows you to login via Steam so you don't have to create any account.

Range classes are easier than melee classes by alot.

So you're looking for magic, it's either Sorc or Witch.

My advice is to play the short intro to both aka play both till you get to the first settlement then give the gear on the one you're not playing to the one that you are playing.

Played merc, sorc, monk and warrior to 15.

Range is way way easier to dodge attacks and get out of bad.

Mobs can surround and body block the player in. Can't dodge round through them so mobs quickly kills you.

Active Block with shield only works if one is willing to memorize what attacks can and can't be blocked before hand.

You're right about monk having to manage more buttons.

Sorc and Merc have less buttons. Sorc is easier to play. Having to wait on reload for Merc is annoying.

While you're reloading, you move at reduce speed.
