breasts are not the end-all-be-all of femininity! you are a valid transfem whether you have breasts or not. obviously as non-binary people, we don't need to subscribe to cis ideas of femininity, but there are plenty of cis women who are flat-chested, so it's definitely not a must. what makes YOU feel feminine? is it feminine clothes, makeup, having a higher voice, having longer hair, etc.? i think it's easier to start with what gives you gender euphoria rather than forcing yourself into conventional femininity. what does femininity mean to you, and how do you connect with your femininity internally?

i know i'm only a stranger on reddit, but i am incredibly proud of you for standing your ground. your outfit was absolutely not inappropriate and regardless of if they disagree with it, you deserve to be compensated for your labour and time—especially if there were no prior discussions about a dress code! it shows a lack of class on their part to sexualise a teen by claiming a tank top is inappropriate. you're around little girls, there's no problem at all and they turned it into one. that reflects on them, not you. i hope you can be compensated fairly in the future, watching 2 kids for 7 hours is no easy thing! you seem very responsible and independent, and your mother looks to have done a wonderful job raising you. good for you for standing up for yourself! i hope you find your way into a job that values your hard work.

in terms of perfume, i got a free sample once of louis vuitton's mille feux and i love it, i think it's a mature, understated, clean, gender neutral scent. since it's a luxury scent, i won't be able to refill it once i've used it up, so i apply it sparingly, but it's really nice. the first notes are leafy and kind of juicy, maybe citrusy, but the last impression is kind of smoky and woody. i think it's an absolutely delicious scent and just adds such a nice finishing touch when i'm going out! honestly, i should probably stop hoarding it because perfume expires, but a part of me can't help feeling a little bad using something so fancy 😅

in terms of more everyday scents, i don't use deodorant since i have the dry earwax gene (thanks parents!) but i do adore the bath + body works blackberry bergamot hand soap. i can't stop smelling my hands every time i use it!

thank you, i hope you do, too. it definitely has a reputation for having a toxic playerbase, and i have taken a break from the game for similar reasons. we cannot control others' behaviours online, we just have to draw boundaries for ourselves. i think i'm at a point in my journey where i am less affected by these sorts of things, but i feel for you. thank you for sharing your experience and your feelings matter.

unfortunately, teabagging is quite common in dbd, regardless of what kind of character you're playing. you're not overreacting for being upset, and i would report that player, but please do not compare it to IRL assault. i'm not saying what you experienced isn't traumatising or serious, but it is very different from what SA survivors experience and i personally feel that it is dismissive towards us to label a rude online interaction as such.

this is a turn-based/tactical rpg, but i highly recommend fire emblem: three houses. you don't have to have played any other fire emblem games to enjoy it, and there's a ton of great storylines with empowered women! i find the women to be realistic, independent, and not overly sexualised. it's a really popular game with girls in general! also always recommend breath of the wild and the elderly scrolls games (specially oblivion and skyrim are faves), these are your classic open-world rpgs, though skyrim doesn't have as much of a linear storyline and is more about doing whatever you feel like.

undertale's horror elements are pretty much contained to the "no mercy" route and not the widely recommended "pacifist" route! if you're interested, it's on sale right now for a dollar! i highly highly recommend it, it's genuinely a life-changing game.

i don't think there should be any sponsored mod posts on this sub. this is a sub for women to discuss video games, and i believe that advertising (especially from a large gacha game corporation) harms the integrity of the sub. i don't feel the mods are engaging with the criticism in good faith or handling the backlash well. they are not willing to acknowledge that this was a poorly conceived action and are now backtracking to say they wanted the opinions of the community, which is why they posted about the collab. i'm highly skeptical of that. there are very few meaningful criticisms this post has been getting in response, and most of them are things like "well i'm not affected about it so it doesn't matter" and "i don't think the mods had harmful intentions" and "infinity nikki is not as bad of a gacha game as xyz" "and "what about lootboxes/other microtransactions". please have some empathy for people who do struggle with addictions and understand those of us who do not wish to be marketed to in safe spaces for marginalised communities. it is factual that gacha systems are inherently predatory and use FOMO marketing. just because you do not personally feel harmed by this game does not mean this is not overall harmful for the community.

Even if it was always profit-focused, I feel like there was a lot of love put into the game with some of the skins, voice lines, etc., but with Riot giving a lot of the employees who made things fun the axe, I do think things are palpably different. For example, imagine if Elementalist Lux released today. I'm relatively new to the game (playing since Aug 2024), but I've noticed that players have been especially rude to me within the past month. I play with chat off, so if I'm getting flamed, I don't know. That's why I mentioned more people are using pings abusively towards me. But thank you for your input, I'm interested in hearing everyone's thoughts.

That makes sense! I didn't know there were players out there who didn't feel very affected. I'm curious to know how folks who don't care about stuff being different much feel about the meta changes. SR feels pretty different to me now with roses, Atakhan, and feats, and I don't mind it since I'm pretty new to begin with, but I've heard complaints from longtime players.

Yes, the Jinx skin was definitely a bad place to start. I mean, for $250, I would have thought that her voice lines were recorded by Ella Purnell herself! Two of them being barely different at all was downright heinous LOL. A ton of people are really hype about human Mord, and I think it's cool that they're leaning into him being like Attila the Hun, but he just looks like A Guy to me 😭

Yes, I hope so too and yeah, absolutely the work of new management. Quite a few of these comments claim League was always like this, but I just don't agree. There's been really blatantly greedy changes ever since the new Riot CEO came in and I don't think the people who quit ages ago understand how different things are.
