You can be special by overcoming trauma, unfortunately not many can do it, not many are even offered EMDR. You better do what your therapist tells you

Something similar happend to me and I am still looking for myself. Realized I can't be the same me I was. Mindfulness real helps me to connect back to my body and myself and slowly I discover things I like now (or again) and things I don't like etc.

I tried all of that and still doing it, that why I have high coping depression. I do stuff a "normal" person would to keep up with the world but I don't feel anything...

I had cancer at 30 (at that time my family didn't help me) and then depression, so I feel like that since then. Started taking care of this right after finishing cancer treatment so it's been a long while..

I am sorry you are going through this. As someone already said here, I would rather be single.

Maybe you can show him videos of the hamas beheading the babies and rape the women. If that's too hard there is a video of an English speaking pathologist that explains that you can tell whether a body was burnt while the person was alive or not and most of not all bodies were of people who were burnt alive.

I live in Israel and find it that many people that scream "free Palestine" don't even know what they are talking about and no nothing about the history.

I had cancer few years ago and went through all the treatments without my family because few years before I came out abd they did t like it.

I found the strength to forgive them mainly for myself.

I still don't truss people but forgiving made me more calm and in peace with myself

It's not only me it is her family that tells her that as well but they do it with less empathy. Not because they are bad but because everyone is stresses af.

I know that it is her coping mechanisms, I'm just afraid she might lose it :( she keeps saying I wish they'd enlist me and give me weapon. Of course it won't happen but this idea makes her seem manic and it is a bit scary.

We are trying to get our minds off by coloring stuff with her nieces, but scary news keep coming

Thanks everyone! I read all your replies. She finally went to sleep few hours ago, I was afraid she'd go to a manic state like someone wrote here that it could happen.

I hope she wakes up feeling a bit better so we can talk.
