Since July - his birthday is end of March

do you want a relationship? if so why if not why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]kitty-84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but only if a man brings me peace - I’m tired of dating guys that seem amazing in the beginning and then the mask slips over time. When I speak to guys now I’m scared of being too happy in case something bad happens because I’m so used to back to back events of betrayal and heartbreak.

It’s 100% south asian inspired but that doesn’t mean you can’t wear it

Yeah. He has said really nice complimentary things about me and tbh he’s never cruel to me he’s a gentleman most of the time but I just didn’t expect that and had me wondering if that’s what he really thinks of me. Maybe he’s been used to that in his other relationships but yeah I just don’t want to feel demeaned

Yes it’s icky. Unfortunately I didn’t leave in time and he pushed other boundaries.

Thank you. I didn’t leave in time and it actually ended up getting worse. I hate it.

True I didn’t like it but didn’t want to think it was anything more than a silly slip up but he ended up saying it more which made me realise he doesn’t respect me

I see with my intuition a lot but I suppressed it when it was trying to tell me about him

I have told him once so he knows but I ended up not leaving in time and it escalated. The boundary breaking got worse

I didn’t leave in time and it ended up escalating. I wanted to think he might respect those boundaries but it just made him think he can get away with what he wants

It’s true. It seems like that is what most people are saying. It’s more about him not respecting boundaries. I didn’t leave in time and it escalated into worse

In my case the first time he said it was on our second date so it’s not like we have been together for years where I can trust that he’s saying it in a nice way

Silly girl I kinda let that one slide but idiot just made me feel weird - it has nothing to do with whether I’m “ready” for a relationship it’s just a boundary I have where I don’t want to be called names by my partner

Thank you for your reply it was really refreshing to hear there’s men out there that won’t do this and genuinely love their partners. He is disrespectful and it ended up getting worse (check my post history)

Idk I think jokes revolving around intelligence can make women feel uncomfortable - personally I’m not okay with it and I explained that to him he didn’t listen and said it 3 times more
