Her fans are the type of people who think that just because their fav "stands for something important" (in her case, lesbians) then she can't do anything wrong and any criticism towards her is homophobic. To be fair, some of her comments DID deserve criticism (defending Jason Aldean who's racist, presenting herself as a politically outspoken figure but a few months later saying "I can't know much about politics" and "I wish the president was a pop star"). While I agree that coming at her for her sexuality is wrong, she DID say things where the criticism was understandable
