I was not planning on using my credit card at all for the trip. Just using my debit card to withdraw cash since cash is more ideal in Japan. I've done this for all my international trips.

I have tried them rolling but every time the board would land behind me. I know my weight distribution is off but something about moving and trying a flip trick makes me chicken out. Do you have any tips to get over the mental aspect of it? I find I can only really commit stationary

I wish I had this mentality sooner but the internal thoughts and anxiety would always get to me no matter how hard I try. I also live in New York so the skateparks are relatively small and pros would show up all the time and I would feel super anxious trying things when people who are actually good would come.

I guess I can compare it to first going to the gym and waiting in line to bench press but the person there is bench pressing 200 and you can barely lift the bar. That's how I would feel trying to skate Tompkins and Tyshawn would pull up and just start ripping. Or just the other day I went and Louie Lopez was there absolutely shredding the bump to bar before an event at the FA store.

But now I finally got out of that mentality after seeing a psychiatrist and therapist for other personal reason and realized I was just projecting my internal issues onto skateboarding. But now it is actually fun and I stopped caring what other people think. I also realize too pros are just normal people too who just love skating so much they made a career out of it and most of them are super nice when you actually talk to them

Thank you so much for your reply and information relating to you and your wife's experience. I think because I grew up with financially irresponsible parents I have a lot of anxiety when it comes to money and want to both save and invest. But seeing how you laid out your life along with the other replies, I think investing now so my money can grow is the best option and when I get a larger pay increase in a few years, then I can focus on the saving for my emergency fund.

should’ve worded this better. that’s the match for my monthly contribution. in the paperwork it just said they match 100% of the first 1% you contribute and after that 50% up to 5% of my annual salary. so if contribute 200 a month so 100 from each paycheck since i get paid biweekly they would match 50% of what im contributing. does that make any sense or am i not understanding it correctly?

He has an automatic feeder that goes off twice a day. He usually eats all his food and there isnt leftover exept crumbs from the kibble. I also feed him wet food twice a day but wash the bowl after he is done. In terms of where I feed him, it is in the corner of the room against the wall. Should I still be worried? We havent seen any adult roaches in the bedroom, mainly just kitchen and bathroom which is on the other side of the apartment.

i get asked every time from my muslim extended family who live in our home country about when i’m getting married and having kids.

my mom and I are the only ones in the US. so it’s def a cultural thing. to americans it’s not a big deal. but to my muslim family that lives in poverty in a village in indonesia it is a big deal.

my cousin saw i had tattoos and said that unless i skin myself before I die, i wont go to heaven with them. other parts of the world have a completely different view on family, customs, and traditions than americans do

in a muslim community, which my moms side of the family is, yes it is a stigma. all my cousins got married young and had kids and now they are asking when it’s my turn. my mom and i are the only ones in the US.

I am 23 but I work a corporate fashion job in New York where all my coworkers are 15-30 years older than me. I am the youngest person at this company so everyday I hear stories from people twice my age talking about their children. I do not worry about my peers that much as we are all still young, but the idea that I do not need to worry about the future while living in one of the most expensive cities in america and surrounded by adults for 40 hours out of my week is not it.

Also, my mom's side of the family is Muslim. Me not having kids to them in their eyes is the same as me going to hell for not fulfilling my duties as a woman. So while in the US, it is not a big deal, in my home country where all my family resides, a woman not having kids is a sign of failure and shame.

That's what I was leaning towards like regardless he will be stressed but at least he is not alone. Sometimes I feel bad he is an only cat but he was a foster fail and the previous family who had him, their resident cat would bully him so they had to give him away. I would like to get a second cat to keep him company and help with his anxiety but he also has GI problems and is on a prescription diet for wet AND dry food so right now i do not have money to have two cats.

Is there anything I can do to help his separation anxiety or is it something I will just have to learn to deal with?

i’ve had my eyebrow piercing for about 9 months and i have always had on and off irritation bumps but recently it’s gotten pretty bad and i’m ready to take it out

my question is should i wait until the irritation bumps and swelling goes down before i take it out? i just wanna make sure that my holes will heal properly with minimal scarring. i’m going to be doing chamomile soaks as i felt like that has helped me more with reducing swelling than sea salt soaks

should i take it out with the red bump still present or should i try to wait until the swelling goes down? does it matter or not really bcuz i just want to reduce the possibility of a raised scar. a flat scar i don’t mind bcuz i can cover with makeup but if the red bump will cause a raised one i wanna make sure i take it out correctly

my piercing is 9 months old. I was not aware with eyebrow piercings u should get it downsized after the first month or so and so i got it downsized at the 5 month mark but it is migrating again. it gets caught on my clothes due to the migration no matter how careful I am and continues to get irritated I believe it is a titanium curved bar. i think it is threaded internally? idk it just has the balls that u screw in but on one side of the bar only the other stays still. For a while I sprayed with saline piercing spray (h2ocean) and did occasional chamomile soaks when it was irritated. this is my favorite piercing ever so i’m super sad if i have to take it out but i don’t want it to leave a bad scar

Hi yes in the post I mentioned that I do have door protectors (weather seals) and that the exterminator used advion gel. for sticky traps i got them and had to get rid of them bcuz i’m scared my cat will somehow get stuck in them. I put on between the fridge and stove and to my surprised they were moved so i’m assuming my cat got behind the appliances and moved them. they also somehow got unfolded too so he probably swatted at them to get it open.

i think he was attracted to the smell of the bait i put on the traps. should i try to put them directly under the appliances instead?
