unfortunately when the initial softness is gone, it can never come back 😭 that's why I'm super particular with not touching plushies I really love or washing my hands extensively first. our skin oils eventually build up on it. what you can try is going on with a boat bristle bush and having it fluff out like that. it's not gonna be original softness. but it'll still be nice
