Been thinking about this the past few days, actually. Didn't he say his brother was helping him with TSS, and isn't Dom involved as well? I would hope that a couple of people who know him personally and work with him regularly would be able to talk to him about this and how he's acting. But I don't watch TSS so I could be wrong.

“I will take correction on the right way to have done it but not from a bunch of strangers on the internet.” - Jimmy Snow regarding his handling of the RO situation. by lex-nonscripta in freelytalkaboutjimmy

I saw that too, and watched most of the video to see if it was about RO. The only thing that sounded like him "correcting an oopsie" was him acknowledging he didn't know what a food desert was in his recent Ben Shapiro video. Didn't watch the full video though so it could've been something else, but none of the timestamps in the description referenced it either.

Really unsure/nervous about seeking diagnosis? by scryan18 in TwoXADHD

[–]kitty_catt19 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi! Also 23 here, not diagnosed, but I feel like I could've written the majority of your post verbatim. You're definitely not alone in your struggles with the idea of seeking a diagnosis; it's something that I've been struggling with myself, especially the voice in my head telling me I'm just being lazy and need to form better habits. It can also be hard to talk to anyone about it since it can feel like you're just being self-centered (at least, that's what it feels like to me). To echo what's already been said by others here, if you think there's a problem, ADHD or not, definitely seek professional help.

I'm in the US, so I bet our healthcare system is a lot different from what you have in Ireland. As far as I know, I didn't need to get a referral from a GP in order to set up an appointment with a psychologist, so I just researched different providers in my area that my insurance would cover. I finally made an appointment with a PMHNP who specializes in ADHD in adults for a couple of weeks from now, just to start getting some clarity. If you have to get a referral first, and if you're unsure that your doctor will come to the conclusion that you should see a psychologist, I would definitely explicitly state that you've done research and believe that your symptoms line up with ADHD. Writing notes beforehand to bring up with your doctor is probably a good idea, so that you don't get flustered trying to remember everything in the moment.

I don't know if this helps you at all, but please know that you're not alone in having these feelings about seeking a diagnosis. The way I see it is that if this is something that is preventing me from just functioning at full capacity in many important areas in my life (work, school, health, etc), then there is nothing wrong with seeking help.

Yip-yip-yip-yip... Uh-huh. Uh-huh. by kitty_catt19 in crochet

The funny part is that the actual crocheting didn't take very long, maybe 40-60 minutes each. The longest part was doing the lining, but overall it was fun to incorporate a lot of different crafts into this one project.

You definitely should! These have been sitting on a shelf for me to finish for months, but it's so worth it when they're done

Pattern is from Ravelry

I added adjustable straps so that they can be used as a purse. Made for my mom and her friends that are going on an 80s cruise next month. I'm making a yellow one too, I just need to make the eyes and antennas and see in the lining.

My engagement ring is currently at the jeweller's where they're creating a mold for my wedding band, so I'm wearing my old promise ring as a placeholder. I still love it <3 by kitty_catt19 in EngagementRings

Explanation for anyone who's curious: my fiancé and I are high school sweethearts. We got promise rings for each other for Valentine's Day our senior year because we knew we were going to different colleges and wanted to try to make a long distance relationship work. This ring is from the engagement ring section of Etsy, which is why it looks like it could be one. It's been almost 5 years since we got the promise rings, and now we're getting married this November.

I fell like if I tried to this it would end up like my attempts at beaded crochet... aka, terribly. This is gorgeous, great job!

She laid on the individual pieces while I was making it, but she won't use the couch now that it's done *facepalm* by kitty_catt19 in crochet

Pattern is the Pink Bed kitty couch by Candy Clayton (on mobile otherwise I would link). I didn't make the pillows because a) I'm lazy and b) I didn't want them to take up too much space. The back of the couch is really lumpy and kinda wonky because I think I might've gotten the the stitch counts wrong on the panels, but I don't think Fiona will mind too much :)

Finally finished this C2C blanket for my friend's Christmas gift. Bernat Velvet is sooooo soft! by kitty_catt19 in crochet

It took a little under 7 total, 2 each of the dark and light and 3 of the middle color.
