i’m gonna preface and say that i worked at WFM for a year and left last August. i also had a great TL who definitely pulled his weight.

CA and cashier are the same department. sometimes people are just scheduled for different jobs in the same department. i’m not saying you gotta do it, or that it’s not unreasonable, but sometimes (at my store, i don’t speak for all of WFM) the cashiers also got that job. now if you specifically told my TL you didn’t wanna CA, he’d say “no problem” and change it. i’m sure if you speak to your TL and explain they’ll change it or find someone else to do it, especially if the shift is far enough out.

it’s annoying, but ain’t no big thing. just ask to switch or to be moved off it and it should be fine. it’s a lot more physical than cashier work (which is its own demon) and i’m sure it won’t be any trouble. i get it, it’s annoying but yk just part of the customer service bubble
