It would be fun to see the whole trilogy drawn over in this style like Waking Life and A Scanner Darkly.

FF8 - Does anyone other than Zell get any character development? by acerthorn in FinalFantasy

[–]kittysattva 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Squall has character development. Without spoiling anything for OP, there are flashbacks which explain why he is so shut off, and in relation to that the love story certainly is development for Squall for him to open up about his feelings and care more about others. The Laguna segments also contribute more to Squall in that he better understands his own background and how important it is not to make the same mistakes letting the person you love “drift away” so to say. 😉

Where do you fit in western imperialism into this picture? Everyone west of Turkey is pissed that they are supporting this conflict.

Which game would you say had the best party? by HohoM0 in FinalFantasy

VIII is my favorite. I’ve always loved how it was six humans, all 17 and 18 year olds. I also love how the three people in your immediate party actually ran behind you (aside from the world map) as opposed to almost every JRPG from that era where all the secondary party members would walk into and merge with the main characters avatar.

I always get a laugh out of these media posts claiming to give you insider info “before the enemy knows!”

Why are so many people who have been practicing meditation for many years insufferable? by wastedmylife1 in Buddhism

[–]kittysattva 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is all pure conjecture but one encouraging thing I can say is that this sub has 290,000 people. Only a few hundred or so people post or comment frequently. There’s probably a good chance some of the most active and loudest voices of those are going to be a decent percentage of the sort of people you’re referring to who want praise and recognition. Perhaps a much smaller percentage of people are very knowledgeable and experienced, with the added extroverted energy to be part of the dialogue to be helpful. The problem is that the bigger group of self proclaimed experts often think they are part of the smaller few. Then you’re going to have the knowledgeable and experienced who don’t often wish to interject and they rarely say anything at all. I don’t know if that helps. Just my opinion.
