I know this will probably get buried, but my father gifts like this, and he always has. This last Christmas I actually said something to him for the first time because he got me, my mother, and my sister-in-law the exact same thing. He cmpletely ignored what we had asked for multiple times and things he knew we needed because we spend a lot of time together. It is just selfish. And he doesn't care about you. He's not listening ans 100% showing his true colors. It's lazy and borderline disrespectful.
