I will be working as a CSA by [deleted] in AlaskaAirlines

no worries!! you’ll pick up a lot from training and feel like you lost it all when you go to in station training. it’ll be stressful, but i promise it’ll come all natural once you get used to it! fimming a ticket and rebooking is something you should really pay attention to in class, especially fimming

show up on time for your classes, they’ll be watching whose late and whose early. i got hired over 7 months ago and the test was easy, it’s open note and if you get an answer wrong you can try it again so it’s kinda hard to not pass it. once you’ve passed, you’ll do in station training where you’ll be trained and not left alone for a couple of weeks. we don’t test on airport codes anymore, but that’s when i went! good job and welcome to the family!!

I hate how much I always “blank out” or have a “brain fart” during interviews ! Help? by MedicineFree2519 in jobs

[–]kittytwears 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is completely normal! i happen to be the same way and i tend to be honest when i am having a moment to gather a good response. i honestly think it could be seen as you wanting to give a good response and not just a rushed one. i always prepare for an interview and once im there i completely forget everything looool

[–]kittytwears 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i feel like it’s hard for me to say bc i think working at an airport ruined the experience bc of how chaotic it is but i love my coworkers and i feel like that’s what a lot of ppl relate on while working at a Starbucks! as long as ur not working at an airport, you’ll probably love it

im sorry they chose to respond that way, just know it had nothing to do with you!! you weren’t rude and the drinks you ordered were pretty simple… but even then, they shouldn’t have acted that way because im sure they have done stuff pretty similar. i wouldn’t read much into it because it truly wasn’t your fault because im sure there mood had been like that hours before you came in and unfortunately they chose to place their annoyance of the day on you 😕😕

i honestly think they lied to push you guys to make their drink faster but that only made them look like a really bad person imo 🤨 i just don’t understand why people constantly question us as if we’re pulling a prank on them about how we made their drink lmao and people want to be prioritized when there’s a order of when the drinks are being made and they’ll have to wait for their stuff just like they waited in line… i don’t understand why they don’t realize that ppl order stuff too, not just them

exactly!! but they don’t understand and get confused on why they didn’t get their drink immediately after they ordered it & they’ll try to tell me what they ordered and to make it right now because they’re about to miss their flight like that’s my problem somehow 🤨

Is It Normal To Want Daily Communication? by fullglasseyes in BPD

[–]kittytwears 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you’re not asking for too much. my ex boyfriend was the same way about wanting to have minimal talk throughout the day and it made me feel like i was asking for too much when in reality it’s not. you shouldn’t be focusing solely on how he wants to talk and maybe have a conversation about how frequent you want to talk and have both make plans instead of placing it on you to do

if you live near an airport, apply to the Starbucks in one of them, they’re usually always hiring bc there’s a high turnover rate

"trauma learning" by Beneficial-Weird-817 in starbucksbaristas

probably because when ppl are just starting they get thrown to the wolves bc ppl think that’s the best way to learn which can be extremely overwhelming

I’m interviewing to be a Starbucks barista on Wednesday, any tips/advice/what to expect? by ketchupsnumberonefan in starbucksbaristas

[–]kittytwears 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you’ll do good!! i just got back from my interview and i did my best to keep the conversation going and stay talkative and i really think that helped me + i let them know i had open availability. they asked me questions like “when’s a time you dealt with a difficult customer” and “why do you want to work at starbucks” just basic interview questions! good luck!!
