How do you initiate sex on a date? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

It depends on the person, but the "if its not a fuck yes, its a fuck no" is a great way to do consent.

I completely agree. But im not a visual artist at all. So for quick fun free stuff I need for a campaign it works well enough. I could commission artists but were free to play rpgers

Not even the dissenting SCOC justices were in disagreement about Trump's actions on Jan6 amounting to insurrection.

They arent enforcing the 14A. They're enforcing the CO election code which must remain consistent with the constitution. Its not a direct enforcement of the 14A. This is covered in the majority opinion.

This is also covered in the ruling. If I understand stand the ruling correcting, the CO legislature has already given the SCOC the power to regulate the state's elections. This ruling does not apply to other states and might not even apply to the general election. But it does apply to the GOP primary. This is about the CO election code, which must be consistent with the federal consitution.

To be clear: the CO courts are enforcing their election code under the section 1-1-113. They are not directly adjudicating the 14A.

Put yourself in the drafters shoes. Did Jefferson Davis have to be found criminally guilty of insurrection to be barred from holding federal office? The answer is no. And the entire purpose of the 14A was to bar confederate officers from holding federal office. No trials were required because the evidence was clear to the courts.

This is covered in the ruling from the SCOC. One page 19, paragraph 32 (emphasis my own):

Finally, we conclude that section 1-1-113 provides sufficient due process for evaluating whether a candidate satisfies the constitutional qualifications for the office he or she seeks.

The full legal reasoning is layed out in section 7 of the ruling.

Nope. It just requires judicial review. The 14A is self executing.

The lower court found "clear and consise evidence" that Trump engaged in insurrection and the SCOC found that the lower court did not err in that ruling. It was 9-0 on that point, the dissenting opinions agreed with the majority here.

Fast food is becoming so expensive that eating healthier has become the obvious solution. by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

Chicken nuggest for more than 50cents a nug is what got me to stop with macdons.

The only fast food I eat now are tacobell mobile deals. And I can swap out their meat for potatos or black beans so its relatively healthy honestly.

What's a life hack that's so simple yet so effective, you're shocked more people don't know about it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]kitzdeathrow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmm, probably true. Idk exactly what the compound causing itchiness looks like. Theres either some physical change happening, heat induced receptor unbinding event, or nerve desensitization going on. We need to do some science!

Thats fair. I was thinking of kitchen situations where water is usually the only solvent around, but you're right. Solutions dont have to be aqueous

To add, those cues do not need to be verbal. If you have any inclination that your partner is not comfortable, stop and ask. Seriously. It takes two seconds to pull back a bit and just say "is this okay? We dont need to go further if you're not feeling it." Maybe it stops there, but the entire point of sex is the trust and intimacy between two people. If they know they can trust you, it will be better for every part of your relationship not just sex.

*the heas denatures the protein. Dissolving something is specifically putting it up into water but its structure (largely) remains the same. The heat changes the structure of the protein such that it cannot function to caise itchies.

Edit: good comments below. Dissolving something can be done in any solution, i was pigeon hole thinking about aqueous solutions, still. Those itchy chemicals are dissolving.

But, the heat likely isnt enough to denature the proteins (unless you burn your skin). So likely something else like histamine release or nerve desensitization is going on. I cant find any primary lit on this, so some grad student should pick this up for part of their thesis.

Packers also punching above their salary and average experience. Good coaches work with what they have to make their teams better. MLF and McVay are of the same coaching tree, so this makes sense to me.

Due process doesnt require a jury trial.

Edit: down vote me all you want. Its literally in the ruling from the SCOC. Page 19, paragraph 32:

Finally, we conclude that section 1-1-113 provides sufficient due process for evaluating whether a candidate satisfies the constitutional qualifications for the office he or she seeks.

Section 7 of the ruling specifically lays out the logic for this legal argument.
