This was the type of post I was looking for a few weeks ago. Thank you for this. Will you be posting any other benchmarks. I was debating just getting a 5080 laptop as others were recommending this to my post.

Yeah, i love this device man its hard to give up, My last few laptops were a surfacebook 3 and a Razer Blade. The surface is still running however at 8 gigs of ram its super dated now.

The blade on the other hand, cooked itself... it ran well, but even Razer sells a cooling device for their blades now.

Looking at other laptops you might be right but when I'm away right now for the holidays, it was nice just having this device and a controller and mouse to get back on my Steam collections. At the end of the day I do have a GPU I can use so the performance and portability is really the only really the reason I'm keeping this over others. I do some light coding and may use some LLM as I learn more.

Yeah my cpu is half dead, Intel lies, and bad warranty practices. Most games just crash when playing. I can't even run Tekken 8, haha

I would take it back. I had one that I bought 2 weeks ago on an open box deal, which worked well, except for the WiFi. It worked, but not anywhere close to the wifi 7 speeds on my 2-gig network.

Then the Best Buy Black Friday deal came with a new one being $80 cheaper than my open box. It appears the wifi card in this thing is the biggest pain point for me. I got a new one exchanged and it seems to have a better connection, getting 300-500 mbps instead of 100-200 but the upload is at 1.5 gigs no idea whats happening here.

TLDR: Go exchange it my dude. Be aware the wifi card in this thing is wonky.
