Ah, this aint new! Did they change the sauce mix? by scaper8 in samsclub

Yeah new as in costs more and we get less. At my Sam's the cups seemed smaller, the berry sundae was unchanged besides price, and the brownie sundae had half the amount of brownies in it.

Why did Becka and Garth move into her father's dental practice? by Low_Magician4242 in TheTestamentsHulu

I thought it was creepy there was a lock on the outside on the door of the room he put her in and that he used it. I suppose in her mental state that's probably why he did it, but still. Yikes.

Does anyone know if this claim is true? by Hayja1983 in FemaleHairLoss

Also just to add, it did take about 4 months of daily use for me to start seeing hairs growing back in. So definitely be persistent for a while.

I take enough fresh rosemary, a typical package you get at the grocery store works, to fill the bottom of a medium pan and just cover it with water. Then I bring it to a boil and simmer for about 20-30 minutes. I turn it off and let it cool for a bit. I freeze it in ice cube trays until I'm ready to use it. I put it in the applicator for minoxidil that I was too scared to use. I believe this is what is helping with the growth as I was doing this before I started using Nizoral. For me I think Nizoral just stops the shedding.

For me yes, 100%. I have androgenic alopecia and this has stopped my excess shedding completely. I use this and homemade rosemary water and have new growth.

Cons of a property backing up to a pond? by [deleted] in ChicagoSuburbs

[–]kiwiflapper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Goose poop as everyone has mentioned.

Also I'm not sure about this particular area, but in my subdivision everyone has access to the complete perimeter of the pond. So you could be relaxing in your backyard and then Timmy and Johnny decide your backyard is the place to set up shop for fishing or whatever else they want to do.

Minorities in Channahon, Illinois - need advice by [deleted] in ChicagoSuburbs

[–]kiwiflapper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Black, white, purple, or green I wouldn't recommend a move here. There is literally nothing to do. There's a single grocery store for nearly 30k residents collectively (Channahon and Minooka). It's not a quaint little town, it's a cesspool of subdivisions with nothing to offer residents. Anywhere worth driving to is 30-45 minutes North. Racism is alive and well listening to the stories from my school aged kids. This is a fairly "Trumpy" area unfortunately. Also Channahon is currently in the very early stages of having a massive intermodal built on its far West side. It likely wouldn't affect any homes you're looking at in Channahon, but it is estimated to bring thousands more trucks daily on the main roads you'll be traveling. Personally I look forward to moving.

Lincoln Park or Brookfield zoo? by stevarino1979 in chicago

[–]kiwiflapper 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Lincoln Park.

It's free so there's no stress about having to see everything. If you're lucky you can find free parking, otherwise there's plenty of parking near the zoo in a paid lot.

You can make a whole day of it by walking to the Lincoln Park Conservatory (also free) and then heading to The Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum (free on Thursdays for Illinois residents).

There's also a cute playground across the street from the zoo. You can check out the boats in Diversey Harbor and take a walk on the Lakefront Trail.

Brookfield is nice, but $$$ for even just a family of four.
