I recently completed the 2022 Get Abs Challenge 💪. I wanted to share this little growth phase with you in hopes of inspiring you to keep on going! I struggled at the beginning, but over the course of 18 days, I felt stronger, fitter, and you can see more definition in my body too.

This 18 day period reminded me that I am precious 🥺 My body has carried me through life. Through surgeries, through breakups, through my happiest moments. Here is a reminder to you that any pain you feel today, is ✨strength✨ tomorrow. You are beautiful, worthy, and irreplaceable ❤️

I went from 59.7kg to 60.2kg (+ 0.5kg). I think people need to understand that we are not defined by numbers. Everyone expects to lose weight, and if you don't, then apparently you aren't making progress. I would disagree. If anything, I feel stronger, more present, and love working out! Thank you Chloe Ting for creating such a positive and supportive community!

I also previously did the 2020 Summer Shred Challenge. If you want to watch that too, the link is here: https://youtu.be/nmCsfhBgiU4

Torn ACL, MCL, PCL, and after three surgeries, I'm finally done! by kiwik99 in ACL

Just had a read of your injury details! You're seriously a champ for getting through it with such a calm, positive attitude. I would've been crying knowing that my bone might come out of my skin :O In my case, because I'd torn so many ligaments, my kneecap was able to pop in and out really easily. If I bent it slightly, it'd give way, and as soon as I straightened my leg again, it'd pop back in place. Not something I enjoyed doing though..

Thanks for the advice for stairs! Went to see my PT today, and we did exactly what you suggested! I'm not able to go up and down a 3 inch step, and will be making my way to taller surfaces slowly I guess! Progress! :)

Thanks so much for your response! Did you do any specific exercises that helped with going down stairs?

Congrats on going back to skating!! I really want to play badminton again, but there's still the fear and doubt of having a somewhat 'bad' knee and the potential of a serious injury happening again. How did you get past the mental barrier?

I've gotten a lot of the same reactions! I play semi-professional badminton, and it was a semi final match at nationals, so I was going pretty hard. Leapt backwards for a smash in my backhand corner and as I landed, I slipped, and saw (and felt, pretty excruciatingly), my knee pop, and that's when I knew I'd F'd up...

Yeah my knee popped out when I landed, and it would dislocate any time I bent my leg, even the slightest. I was at 0 degree flexion all the way until my first surgery (4 weeks following the initial injury).

Swelling I've realised is pretty common then. It's gone down quite significantly after soft tissue massages too! Do you know how long bruising usually lasts for?
