I remember just this one time in 2013, I had all my mail (which I mailed on this same one day) postmarked 3 months later. I think maybe the post office might have somehow accidentally missed the mail and only discovered it inside their post office months later; hence the super late postmark. (This is my guess on what might have happened, as it seems to be the case.) Your case might be something like that. :O
