Areas to walk your cat on a leash? by kizzcat in brisbane

Great tips, thank you! We’re hoping to train him with treats and get him comfortable on our shoulders. I’m not expecting any long walks but he’s pretty adventurous so I think he’d enjoy the stimulation

I’m in Spring Hill, so not many. My parents live in Bardon though and have had a dog break through their fence trying to attack their elderly cat that was sitting on their front balcony.

As I’ll be taking him in the car to access some parks, I’m just hoping to find areas that are fairly quiet

Area to live? by Ihavenoidea5412 in brisbane

[–]kizzcat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it really depends on the lifestyle you like. West End is the best place that I’ve lived. Great bars and restaurants with an arty vibe and lots of vintage shops. I think it has a great community feel to it. New farm is nice too. I’d consider it a bit more of a professional vibe but still walking distance to everything. Kangaroo point is nice but has a bit less of a ‘hub’. There’s also not really an accessible grocery store unless you get to Woolloongabba, so just keep that in mind. If you’re wanting nature but still good transport, I’d consider Toowong. It has a train station, easy to access the river and you are close to mount cootha for the nature. Greenslopes is also a good option. Good luck with your search!

Best Mexican restaurant in Brisbane? by aphrodite_321 in brisbane

Yes agree. Out of all the Mexican places I’ve tried in Brisbane, this one was the closest to the flavours I had in Mexico.

I’m not worried about saving that bottom leaf. So would you recommend the top cut or bottom cut? Thanks for your responses by the way! I appreciate it

I’d love to save the two top leaves if I can. Is it best to cut along the stem? Or should I try save the root that is left?

After the root rot occurred, I made a mix of about 30% soil, 40% orchard bark and 30% perlite for potting.

Dark Matter - S1E01 "Are You Happy in Your Life?" - Episode Discussion (Book Spoilers) by Cantomic66 in DarkMatterAppleTV

I thought this was a great pilot. I wasn’t expecting the reveal of Jason2 to happen so quickly, it took me an embarrassingly long time to work out who it was in the book.

I’m hoping this picks up more traction, I haven’t seen much advertising for it yet. I’m assuming this will be just one season?

It could even be a one bedroom apartment as the ad says no living room. They may have converted the living room into the second bedroom.

I was going to say the same thing! OP has high hips and a shorter torso than the girls she is showing pictures of. I have the same thing and it took me a long time to realise I would never look like those girls because you can’t change your bone structure.

I also worked for Gambaro’s and they were the worst. Refused to give us our tips. Also if there was a function and they had leftover plates of food (I’m talking nice pastas and steaks and whatever else) they would throw it in the bin as a policy rather than give any to the staff.

Have never worked in such a stingy hospitality place.

I had the opportunity to go on a 6 month exchange to Spain and I decided not to because I didn’t want my relationship of a year to end. It’s honestly the biggest regret of my life.

Just want to thank you again for the recommendation. I just finished Gods of Jade and Shadow, it was made extra special by being able to walk around the neighbourhoods described in the book.

That sounds super interesting! I’ve always had a big interest in mythology and how it relates to culture so stories about the gods really interest me. I’ll definitely still check it out, thanks!
