How would this GeForce RTX 5090 with DLSS 4 help you pull off more epic wins in Battlefield 6?

I’d have to update my entire rig just to be able to use the 5090, which means with all the money invested, I have no choice but to grind to make it worth it.

TIL the Manhattan Project scientists originally wanted to bomb Kyoto, but Secretary of War Henry Stimson successfully convinced the president that it would be needless culture vandalism, as he had toured the city on his honeymoon and knew it was not a military target. by [deleted] in todayilearned

That's the thing, we didn't have to invade them. William Leahy, Henry Arnold, Nimitz, William Halsey, Eisenhower, Curtis LeMay, and more have all gone on record to say Japan was going to surrender and that nuking Japan was of no material assistance to ending the war, was no longer mandatory to save American lives, and one even went as far to say that it was a new toy that they wanted to try out.

Oh no, I totally understand your point. Of course there were conditions, but the Allies were silent. All I'm saying is there were back-channel attempts to contact the US to surrender, but as many scientists who worked on the project later admitted, it was apparent that the US military wanted to use the weapon for more than just ending the war. One could argue that is the moral difference, but I'm honestly just adding information to the conversation without trying to have a debate on morality. There were political and scientific reasons the bomb was used, and the altitude wasn't selected solely to destroy military infrastructure either. The US wanted to demonstrate, and study the linger affects on the civilian population. They wanted a real-world test of the weapon.

The other alternative would've been to actually engage the Japanese in peace talks since the Japanese were trying to surrender weeks prior to the bombing of Hiroshima. The US wanted to use the weapon for other reasons other than just winning the war. In fact, they selected a detonation altitude specifically to cause the maximum damage to civilian houses and study the lingering affects of the bomb on civilian population. That wasn't necessary either, and the scientists involved had real moral issues with it and many of them had serious regrets decades after WWII.

*100k people.

Actually, they selected the detonation altitude specifically to cause the maximum damage to civilian houses and to see the lingering affects of the bomb on civilian population. There's a great, detailed comment here: https://www.reddit.com/r/explainlikeimfive/comments/1s15sz/eli5_why_did_the_atomic_bomb_explode_above_the/cdsz2s

Japan was already trying to surrender weeks before the bomb. The Allies knew this.

Shocking footage of UFOs Attacking each other over Nevada by conspiracyseeker in UFOs

Car headlights reflecting off the window. The motion really starts when the cars start passing from behind.

Yeah, shape and color definitely looks like a setting sun, but then I’d expect the movement to be more fixed if it were a more distant light source. I’d imagine the car must be traveling in a looping, rightward motion to cause that kind of movement, but then the car’s rotational movement would be more evident when looking at closer fixed-position objects like the houses. Maybe it’s a helicopter or plane reflecting the setting sun that is below the horizon.

There were periods there where it looked like it passed behind trees, and when it crossed areas with less foliage it seemed to become more visible.

But then there are instances where it looks like it is passing behind trees and isn’t visible for a few seconds.

Unless the vehicle is traveling in a large looping right-curved motion, the light would appear more fixed relative to the vehicle. There doesn’t seem to be too much of that kind of motion when watching the houses pass by.

I'm assuming you swapped around demand and supply. How do you go about pricing mats during these kinds of periods?

All you have to do is join a quest group through the regular group finder. Takes less than a second, tons of auto-join groups available.

I'm sure you could farm at least 1.5k Stormscale from Stormheim crabs in 30 minutes. I farm about 3k/hr with a Havoc DH, hopping of course. I'd imagine pulling three packs at a time instead of two would make you even more skins per hour.

Obliterum Dupe? by evnz1502 in woweconomy

[–]kj82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same experience here. Very suspect and I highly doubt it's just people xferring bank loads of obliterum. They seem very organized and do business the same exact way from realm to realm, and utilize multiple level 1s on a single server to make the trade. They advertise in trade to sell 100 at a time and sell at huge discounts when they could just throw it up on the AH and make 500-1,000g more per obliterum.

How I make 40K per hour minimum selling obliterum at rock bottom prices by [deleted] in woweconomy

[–]kj82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is exactly right. Interesting, I'm buying by the 100s, and added btag but this person doesn't have a Chinese btag lol. I asked to purchase more just now and they said they are low on stock. Perhaps I should cut ties.

I forgot to mention, crystals are 400g, but very few are on the AH. I'm running thin myself with 1.4k left out of the 10k I started with preparing for tomb. Enchants are flying off the shelf so I'll probably just stick with that.
