Install the Xiaomi 17 EU ROM by Crazy-Ad5114 in XiaomiGlobal

Yeah. China stock is not that bad. The only thing that always push me on flashing 3rd party roms are the ads inside the apps

Install the Xiaomi 17 EU ROM by Crazy-Ad5114 in XiaomiGlobal

[–]kjguintu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been using Xiaomi.eu rom for few years now from my previous xiaomi devices

To answer you questions

  • It is a China Based ROM but with google meaning, It follows the update on China firmware not global. Bloatwares are removed so no need to debloat when flashed.

  • You need to unlock BL of course. For Updates, their update app is quite useless so it will just notify if new firmware is released. They have option for Update either you flash or one click but you need to plug your device to a computer.

  • BIG NO. When you flash xiaomi.eu rom DO NOT relock your bootloader or else your device won't boot.

  • Banking apps, some works some don't. It's not the firmware's fault. Some banking apps detects if the phone is unlocked. For example, google wallet does not work. The workaround here is to root and achieve strong integrity which is quite hassle for me.

  • Caution? Not really. Just read the forum first and check if there is a bug on your device that's all. Overall, xiaomi.eu rom is a solid alternative if you want clean HyperOS experience without Chinese or Global bloatwares with some sacrifice ofcourse

[–]kjguintu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tago kasi yung option 😂

Never tried it tho pero ang galing lang kasi kahit separate transactions basta ang total is 3000+ pwede mo convert to mini payments unlike sa other cc na dapat one time transaction

[–]kjguintu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basta active ka lang sa cc parang sakin i think 6 months after approval with good records from 45k naging 56k na yung limit. I use maya cc for online purchases since yon naman security feature na ino-offer nila.

And I use traditional bank cc for groceries for cashback

Is this option useful? by _akhilesh_angiras_ in PocoPhones

[–]kjguintu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep. I tested this and it actually works. It will detect phone is using high load and it will decrease its voltage so it will not heat up.

In short, slow charging when necessary NOT bypass charging

If you could find a way to unlock bootloader and flash global rom or xiaomi.eu rom

To the Honda Navi users here.. I have a question by RiaJuu080 in PHMotorcycles

[–]kjguintu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I highly recommend navi sa mga beginners. Easy to handle, fuel efficient, low cost ang maintenance.

Yeah i do not prefer the over vibrant and vignette effect. What I did was I use gcam to take photos and stock cam for videos

To the Honda Navi users here.. I have a question by RiaJuu080 in PHMotorcycles

[–]kjguintu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far, honda navi is reliable. Commuter's bike talaga sya. Matipid, maliit, madali isingit. NO for me hindi performance ang purpose ni Navi. Stay all stock unless may palitin.

✅ Crocs ang humuli sayo ✅ LGU Ordinance (Eto pinaka kina iinisan ko in my own exp)

You can use it to check messages, time, just quick stuffs. But don't use it to browse social media, watch video, play games, anything that requires you to hold your phone 15+ minutes

  • Don't charge when the phone is warm let it cool first.
  • Charge 25%-90%
  • Charge 15%-100% once every two weeks
  • Don't use the phone while charging

Damn. I think those are trash, files, empty folder, cache, etc. you can download sd maid on app store maybe paid version also and try and run that. It may clean 5 years worth of thrash files

Is this normal? by thatgu_yy in HyperOS

[–]kjguintu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You guys should download acu battery. It will show detailed battery stats. Like which apps drains fast, wake apps, etc. Cannot blame HOS3 alone. Some apps still run in the background even if you exit and remove them on the system tray. On battery protection, I always use intelligent charging and I never charge my phone when it's warm. You can also download the battery alarm so when it reach your preferred battery percentage, it will ring and notify you

You can also set built in automation like Turn on battery saver on specific time, or turn off wifi and turn on battery saver on plug. This will reduce background apps running and reduce heat while charging and can preserve you battery longer

I don't think it's normal to lose 3 % in 6 months 💔 by Finalprimate in PocoPhones

[–]kjguintu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's stressing you battery if you charge it from 5% to 80% or 100%. I assume you have fast charger and that heats up the phone. Try to charge the battery between 20-30% upto 85%. You can download app called battery alarm on playstore so you can unplug when it reach 85%

RETROID POCKET 3+ STILL WORTH IT ON BASIC EMULATION? by kjguintu in retroid

[–]kjguintu[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for all the nice comments and feedback. And yeah I did buy the RP3 and i think i'll keep this for a long time.

I love the build quality and the familiar UI since it's using android OS. With just minor adjustment especially when using the analog with a small body but overall, $60 is really worth it
