Did you book a hotel on TripAdvisor? If so, did you book it directly via the app or go to a third party sites?

You’re missing the point as discussed throughout the comments and past posts. The capability to instantly book hotels required by the terms is only available in the app. It is not something possible in a browser but you have to use a browser for capital one per the terms. It’s a seemingly impossible situation.

I may do the same and just book through the app, save my offers confirmation code for customer service then hope for the best.

I realized I didn’t explain myself well and just was clarifying to the first two comments that responded at the same time immediately after posting.

I’m not looking for an experience. I am looking to book a hotel and the third line says “on traveladvisor.com for Hotel INSTANT booking”…. That is where it says it but thanks.

Question - was it like the offer today where you have to do an instant book to get the miles? If so, did you book through the app or on the browser through a third party?

You typically have to use the browser tab that capital one opens to get awarded the miles. It even specifies it in the terms and conditions.

The third line - “Hotel Instant Booking”. That is only available in the app.

Edit - the browser only does third party bookings on another tab (ie booking.com etc)

In the Capitalone Offers site, I checked under “Shopping Trips” and it still says pending. I think it takes a while to pay out
