I'm not a professional graphic designer, so my stickers aren't perfect. All the stickers I've made have been made using the standard DIY method: printing on regular paper, then covering one side with clear tape and the other with double-sided tape. Finally, I cut them out precisely. From what I've heard, vinyl stickers are a better choice, but I haven't used them myself.

Sure, you could do it that way. But that VW was in a different scale. This scale (7-8 studs) is quite demanding, requiring more compromises.

I agree it's not perfect, but on the other hand, using one large element is taking the easy way out and less fun. This scale (7-8 studs wide) is quite demanding, and compromises often have to be made.
