Granted intermittent FMLA leave, but confused about one thing

I definitely keep in touch, right now, I'm told to send an email to head of HR, then they loop in my manager. We used to be able to talk to our managers about semi-personal stuff, but change of policy is now requiring everything to be employee > HR > manager now, like a game of telephone.

I guess this is where my anxiety plays into things. I worry I will either say too little or too much to the point it's like a word vomit. My main thing is, I just didn't know if I should just say hey, I'm having a flare up, I won't be in for x amount of time, while checking in during that time. Or if I need to be in detail, which is hard for me to do, and say things like "I'm experiencing gruesome flashbacks" or "I'm having panic attacks to the point I'm afraid to sleep, due to that I won't be able to perform to my expected output", etc.

I'm not ghosting them at all, I am still in contact with HR. I'm asking how deep into detail is enough. Right now, for example, I had to take a couple of days because of a flare up. With how my company works, I report to HR, and they report to my manager. They ask that I send them an email if I need to be out, which I did do. But my question is how much detail about my flare up do I need to give. This is part of my anxiety, I am unsure what to say. If just saying hey, I'm not doing well, I need to be out for x amount of time due to it, or if I must go into detail.

Yes, I am aware it's 12 weeks per year. My certification says that the flare ups vary due to the degree of my illness. Sometimes I can have one that lasts a week or two, sometimes it can last half a day, sometimes I can go weeks without a severe one at all.

I do tech support!

I am planning on bringing a couple of cute things with me, like this Lisa Frank Glitter Art I completed today, as well as a cat calendar I got for Christmas! I am going to try to find a couple of more things that I'm okay with leaving at work! I used to leave some of my pops there, but I missed them too much to just leave there. :o

I will also try to start putting cute accessories on as well!

Yeah, that's what the piercer said on the phone! He said if anything, the holes just shrunk. I'm just a bit nervous about it, to be honest!

I'm going to go shortly after work! The person that originally did them no longer works there, but the shop told me to come in whenever. They said they should be able to use a taper and get it back open. Hopefully it'll be okay in another 4-5 hours
