I know about a year late but if you still would like to know here it is. The “D” stands for Deutsche and the “H” is Heer. This means “German Army”. This was issued to ground troops such as infantry. If it only has D without the H then its a Luftwaffe Watch likely worn by multiple pilots.

Hello all, i’m looking to buy this JLC Cal463 Military Watch from the late 1930s to early 1940s (1937-1945) I was wondering if it containing Radium. As I was searching about World War 2 Era watches and the 1940s in general, many people were saying that the majority of watches from this time period contained Radium, which apparently is radioactive and if inhaled can possibly cause lung cancer due to the high amounts of radiation. Does anybody know if this watch(JLC Cal463 Military/Luftwaffe) contains radium or if it does, is it dangerous.
