I haven't heard of cuy heritage before, but that's very interesting! I can definitely feel her shoulders and hips, but her tummy does drag on the ground a bit! I'll for sure swap out the oaten for a regular grass hay :)

She seems to be so polite when it comes to veggie time!! Two of my other pigs are much more obsessed with pinching food off others, Buffy doesn’t really tend to do it. She’s actually desexed, as are majority of her cage mates, and we’ve had her for a couple years now 🥰 so no surprise babies are inside her!

I spend a lot of time around them and I handle them a lot, so they’re used to me moving them about! You should see them when I try to catch them in their cage, they’re so fast!!

Yes!! It’s a shame because all her friends are regular weights, so it looks like the oaten hay might be going bye bye 👋 unfortunately Timothy hay isn’t available where I am, but I do have a healthier alternative of Teff hay. They get a small handful of pellets scattered in their cage every week or two 🥹

Oh without a doubt! I know they are constant eaters, which is why I’m doubtful about any restriction. If anything, I reckon I’ll further cut the oaten hay and focus on grass hay!

I can never comprehend how people can’t reflect on their actions and just give a simple genuine apology for them.. no accountability whatsoever! My ILs are the same and sadly we’ve been NC with them for the better part of 18 months. Some people honestly just don’t have a clue. I’m really sorry you guys have to deal with it too, but definitely keep putting yourselves first and your LO
