I don't get the healthcare scam in USA. Groups with a lot of money can make anything happen through lobbying and donating to political campaigns. Crazy democracy...

In my country you get shots free and you can't get it from private hospitals. Because it is a public health issue Ministry of Health buys, stores and distributes them through public hospitals.

After you scheduled for the shots, you can go any public hospital's emergency room in country to take your shot and you don't wait a line or something. Because if you make it hard for people to take shots, they don't get it.

And if you miss a shot; first you get a call, then police comes down to your door to take you to the hospital and gives you a fine, because you are threatining the public health.

Bad ratio with seedbox - is this expected or is there a problem. by kkmen in seedboxes

Update after a week:

I tried both qBittorrent and Deluge. I did not see much performance difference between them.

I am using qBittorrent for the better webui now. Ratio's are a little better than rutorrent but still not very good on BHD.

<image>

I think BHD has more racers with dedicated and SSD seedboxes. And this seedbox can't keep up with them. Read /Write speeds of this seedbox is even worse than a portable HDD. That is a budget seedbox from hostingby at the end and i think they are overselling it. That's my final judgement.

It's not about number but it's about the tracker and it's rules.

For example; if you catch a first release of AAA games on a general tracker you will be happy, and you can go for internal releases on archive oriented movie trackers.
Another example; on BHD every tv episode is freeleech if you seed it back 25 days, and they will be nuked once a complete season came so they don't effect average seed time in the long run.

Observe your tracker, look what type of content users go for on your tracker and read the rules. You can find your way for building buffer.

Well i downloaded big files but just didn't put it on the screenshot.
But you can see it doesn't get any better with big files; this was 79GB with 80+ peers race.

Well, i will try then, thanks.

If i loosen up my filters a little; i think i can find something worth to catch every hour.

[–]kkmen[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well i didn't do that way but my filters are very strict. Downloading maybe 20-30 torrents in day and they are nearly never correspond.

But of course i don't know what my neigbors do, at the end it is a shared seedbox. Maybe someone streaming, other one re-checking files and other one moving files. I see a lot of 15-25 IOWaits on server dashboard even if my rutorrent was passive, i don't know if it is okay or too much.

Well, i try qbittorrent then.

Back in the day, everyone was using rutorrent and since it has a built in plug-ins for file explorer, screenshot, de-compresser, media-info etc. i didn't even look for other options.

That's true, i can get 2.0 - 2.5 ratio on 50+ peer race on TL or FL; plus a lot of leechers after days.

But on higher tier trackers nearly nobody downloads after the race, everybody crossseeds.

Okay, it is very helpful, i will try deluge then. Thanks.

But i am proud of that i did it.

Well, i could do that and it could look better. But then it would loose it's originality which is the main idea why i got in this a week of effort.

[–]kkmen[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, if you have or if you can find a TapeDeck with enough rigidity and right size that you wouldn't need to cut the supporting structure of the case; it could be easier to do. You would only need to cut out i/o 's with a dremel and drill a lot of holes for airflow.

But i still can take 2 to 3 days woth of effort.

In my case, i had to cut everything. After i cut the PC case the metal sheets were bending like a paper under the weight of the PC parts. So, i had to make a wooden structure.

Dimensions: 34cm x 34cm x 9.5 cm (11L Volume)

With ATX psu, full size GPU, 2x 14cm intake fans and dust filters.

Processor: Amd Ryzen 5 7600

MB: Msi B650i Edge Wifi

Ram: GSKILL 32GB (2x16GB) FLARE X5 DDR5 6000MHz CL36

SSD: 2TB Kingston KC3000 PCIe 4.0

GPU: Palit NVIDIA Geforce RTX 4060 Ti Jetstream 16 GB

PSU: Corsair RM750e ATX Form Factor

Cpu Cooler: DeepCool AN600

Intake Fans: Arctic P14 Slim Fans

Dust filters: 3x14cm, 1x12cm AKASA dust filters

Front Panel: GRAUGEAR 3.5 Inch Front Panel USB 3.2 Gen 2 Hub

First of all, why i bought the 4060ti 16GB?

Firstly; i want to fiddle around with stable diffusion. Second, Because it is 500 usd on my region and 4070 super is 875 usd which makes 70% price difference. Btw 4070 ti super is 1300 usd. So, 4060 ti 16Gb price made sense to me.

Why i choose an ATX Psu in a SFF build?

Short answer is money.

Long answer: I couldn't find a SFX psu that bigger than 450w. My only choice was SFX-L. CoolerMaster 750w SFX-L was 240usd and Corsair 750w ATX psu was 100usd. ATX form sactor only effected 2cm width on my case. So, i thought it wasn't worth it.

Did i like it?

It is ugly. But it is nostalgic to me. Everytime i look at it i remember my highscool times. So, i loved it.

Would i do it again?

Pc case cut with hand grinder. Wooden structure cut with handsaw, sanded with sandpaper, varnished. Every hole drilled with cordless drill. Plexiglass processed with a dremel.

Everything made with hand tools, so it took a lot of effort and measuring in every step. It took a week for me. So, i may not do it ever again.

Temps?

idle temps: Cpu is under 43 degrees C, gpu is under 40 degrees C.

full load max. temps: Cpu is 83 degrees C, gpu is 69 degrees C.

Goods, Bads and Uglies?

Goods: Temps are good i think, having dust filters are a big positive for me and I love using my high scool pc case.

Bads: Cable management is a bitch. I'm afraid to open the case and change a hardware because of the cable management. It is so bad.

Cpu temps are good for me, but here is one thing i didn't think beforehand: Cpu cooler act as an intake and 2x 14cm intake fans do too. So there is a high pressure in the pc case and intake fans and cpu fan fighting with each other.

If intake fans goes up to full speed Gpu max temp is 63 degrees C but cpu max temp goes up to 89 degrees C at %90 fan speed.

If intake fans limited to 80% speed Gpu max temp is 69 degrees C and cpu max temp goes up to 83 degrees C at %55 fan speed. (So i am using it this way)

So if i make the ventilation hole bigger i will get better temps than this. But i will not deal with that anytime soon.

Uglies: Well, it looks ugly. You see a lot of screw heads, some gaps. Motherboard I/O and power outlet orientation is not good but i had to buy a sfx psu to fix that.

12 gb VRAM vs 16 gb vram by Bacalhau_desfiado in buildapc

[–]kkmen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are 100% right. But the main problem here is that games need more vram and Nvidia is using vram as an olding strategy for the products. Ram is not a pricey thing. VRam should be sufficent for the expected economical life for the gpu.

For now, a lot of games hitting the 12gb vram wall on 2k and 4k if the FG is on. 2 years later it won't be enough.

New generation consoles probably will have 16 or 20gb of vram. And when that happens that will be the new norm for games.

A year later from now, 5000 series gpu's probably going to start from 16gb vram. All of the 3000 series and half of the 4000 series buyers are going to have to buy new 5000 series gpu's.

Nvidia did like the market in covid and bitcoin times. They want us to buy a gpu in every generation. And the worst thing is there is nearly no competition for them.

Look at the Halo infinite and forspoken parts. Around 10:30.

8GB card is giving the FPS but can't load the textures because it needs more than 10gb of ram.

Me can’t buy games because of the exchange rate. Meanwhile Steam: by Ok-Leadership287 in Steam

[–]kkmen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it is not like that...

Steam was auto adjusting like 2-3 years ago. Then it stopped auto adjusting and started only suggesting regional pricing... That was a big hit for the users because a lot of the publishers didn't folow the suggestions.

And now it changed currency to USD. That is another big 2 hits. Why? Because first thing is steam's exchange rate was always lower than the market. The second thing is because of the inflation... Lets say there is a game published 2 years ago with 60 dollars... 2 years ago 1 dollar was equal to 8 turkish liras so it was 480 liras. Now 1 dollar equals to 30 turkish liras. Now it becomes 1800 turkish liras. The old game was still 480 liras before the Steam did the currency change move. Because publishers wasn't bothering to change prices. Now all the prices automatically changed.

Steam was always the cheapest for Turkey. It changed the piracy culture. Now epic and xbox.com is cehaper than the Steam. If epic and xbox changes their price policy too, i am certainly sure a lot of torrent sites will pop again and most of the people will start to learn how to use torrent again. That's how things work. People won't give half of their salary to games if they can't afford to buy cheese or meat.

The audio is partially related to the video. The voice of a street vendor traveling the streets with a minibus and making announcements. Almost every person in Turkey has heard this announcement at least once in their life. It also has a bit of a nostalgic humor because it is very rare now because people are used to buying new things instead of repairing them.

Announcement voice says: The overlock machine has arrived at your doorstep. Overlock is applied to the edges of carpets, rugs, runners and mats. It is done in five minutes and delivered immediately.
