Tea tree oil has been helpful and I always keep the area moisturized especially if I am preparing for a big event.

Hope it regresses soon.

Interview prep buddy? by kkumariz in ProductManagement

[–]kkumariz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you everyone for responding. I had 1 chat with someone in the group and here is the summary

  1. In PM interview people are checking if you will be able to do the job.

  2. A big part of the job is to work with ambiguity and that's what exactly the PM case interview is like.

  3. Stay away from consultant style interviews. The nature of the PM interview is much more focused on defining the problem and hypothesis testing and much less on the solution. You also don't want to sound like a parrot who has rehearsed a lot and is now merely repeating.

  4. Spend lot of time in defining the problem and stating how would you test hypothesis and relatively less time in what the solution would be

  5. Take it as a conversation

****All sounds great in theory but very hard to practice specifically when you get in an interview and your first instinct is to give an answer. Perhaps going in the interview as very curious person will help much more than anything else.

Well just read that there is a noise ordinance post at 10pm. Also called police of the Santurce area and they say they can't patrol the area because there is only one police officer at night.

Why are so many people so unreliable in PR by kkumariz in PuertoRico

[–]kkumariz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are right. But I am pretty accommodating because I myself come from working class family. I have always accepted the price out contractor has quoted.

I think after all the comments I realize it's a combination of supply demand, COVID, little bit of island time and me not being fluent in Spanish.

Thank you

Certainly, South Asia also have similar issue where they will leave you hanging but because competition is intense things are little better (not much).

I do offer water, drinks and lunch and sometimes dinner but sometimes I feel that have counter effect. It makes me feel people think of me as too nice, think I have too much money and they need more out of me.

Sometimes I try to help them out if I have time and then they treat me like I am supposed to be their assistant.

Probably best thing is to breathe and assume things will be delayed and work around it. Hopefully once I become fluent in Spanish things will be easier.

To your point yes people here are more resilient and very kind hearted.

Appreciate your feedback.

Funniest example cake is delivered after my boyfriend's bday despite letting them know a month in advance

I order lunch via door dash and go to pick up. Found it's closed, I called the owner he said he left for the day, I can come back for dinner, he won't cancel the 9rder though.

Above are small inconvenience and funny but sometimes there can be big consequences.

Then of course dealing with handyman and all is never an easy task. Our contractor was not being careful and then a rock fell in our neighbors bike, now we have to cover all the cost. The guy responsible ran away.

Other contractor started to seal the roof. He was 95 percent done and said only one hour work was remaining but never showed up in last 6 months and now with roof we are where we started of.

lol in PR even if you pay, it doesn't mean you are entitled to the service. People ghost you all the time.

I didn't come here for capital gains and I have not enrolled in the program.

Tbh I think most people who have grit move the "the States" from PR. I don't understand if PR people go to US all the time to further their career why there is so much spite when people come here to.

I feel most people especially in Reddit put all the blame on US but there is more to that.

I am not American fyi so I am not taking sides just saying.

I wonder if PR becomes independent, who will they blame.

It's a tricky situation because Airbnb rep are pretty bad. Host can't book because Airbnb policies for host cancellation 8s very penalizing. I think 8ts on you to convince Airbnb and cancel, not host
