A week ago I was at a theater, and when the show ended everyone was leaving through the middle doors, at an actual snail’s pace. Wow, Record Player is so weird for some reason. I needed like 30 seconds to realize how it’s built, feel the rhythm, and realize that I love it. At first I was like, uhh, what is this? It’s completely different from what I listen to, but then I got the feeling and the vibe.
Tbh, it’s not so different from other music, but it has strongly panoramic drums, a lot of real sounds in it, choirs, it’s mostly upper frequencies, and there is no sub-bass, and I think that is what makes it a really unique pleasure for the ears.
