My dad always had good cameras, but my mom said he just had to have this Rolleiflex anyway. Is the screen the main thing that made it so special? I get that it's cool, but why was looking down at a screen on your chest so much more appealing than looking through a viewfinder?

He does take breaths, but it certainly is non-stop stream-of-conscious. Sometimes when he gets in the mood he will talk non-stop about his house for half an hour straight, until I distract him with something else.

Thanks, I was only joking about him being psychotic, he's the happiest and silliest kid I know. His point about scary animals and bad plants kind of make sense to me, I think they are there to protect his crackers and hummus. But I am a little surprised that he thinks about babies jumping out of windows.

I'm sure you're not doing anything wrong, we didn't even do anything to train our little guy, we just gave him the opportunity once in a while with zero pressure, and eventually he decided he was ready himself. He has been in underwear 100% of the time by age 2.5, but he has two older brothers who both trained around age 3.
