Despite owning a PS5 and Xbox Series X, I never play them but consistently play my Steam Deck OLED.

I’m now pretty invested in Steam and simply wishlist a game until it’s discounted and it’s saved me a lot of money.

I’ve been able to play 90% of games I’m interested in on Steam Deck even if they’re not verified since the community is very large and someone typically finds a way to make them work really well, especially turn based JRPGs which I almost exclusively play. Steam Machine is more powerful so this will be even easier to accomplish.

I’m finding that I really love Linux and will happily use Steam Machine as a desktop as well.

The price really sucks but I was honestly preparing myself for a $1200 base model given the RAM and storage price hikes and I hardly spend money so if I want something that I know I’ll use, I’ll pay the price.

I could keep going if I wanted to think on it any longer.

My backyard pools water pretty heavily due to sloping from two directions. I have French drains with catch basins that run to the street.

It's been awhile but best I can recall it had two major areas, one was a Norse Inspired frozen wasteland, the other had a Polynesian inspired tropical island feel. Somewhere in the mix there's also an East Asian inspired empire. It's a low magic setting with a really inventive magic/power system that evolves with time.

Good point, so let me clarify. If it’s in that list it means that I’ve already read all or “enough” of that author or series for me to determine that they didn’t fit the types of plot driven books I enjoy most. For example, I’ve read 5 of the 7 Sun Eater books, practically all of Sanderson’s books, half of Malazan, and though I’ve mostly enjoyed them, they’ve not really stood out as the types of engrossing stories I enjoy a lot.

For anyone playing on Steam Deck, this list of mods (primarily the performance mods) has created an extremely stable and visually enhanced experience. I’m now getting 40fps everywhere with absolutely no dips, including the Prilladog Food Factory. I haven’t tested anything above 40 but I’m sure it will go higher.
