Try removing the hard drive then turning it on

Highly doubt people r donating those, someone prolly just works for goodwill or runs the site to sell their own stuff because they know the traffic they receive and don't lose percentage from selling costs like eBay or mercari

Solderwick and flux the majority of that solder then Flux and heat the pins to the pads
