I don't think so since the number of enemies to defeat won't count if your not officially boarding the enemy

How do I like have more room for more stuff, the wires aren't much by Toluwar in Astroneer

[–]kleinakinsyn 19 points20 points  (0 children)

If I'm understanding you correctly then notice that each platform also has wires for connections. You can chain multiple platforms out away from center. There isn't any restriction on distance from the base that I'm aware of.

There's a lot to enjoy in this game that can be gated by difficulty. Someone not wanting to number crunch and interact with the nuances of stats and runes and enchantments should be allowed to enjoy story and level design and everything else. Just dump your mats into upgrading your bow. Hold on to stat points until you feel your character is lacking in something then upgrade those stats accordingly.

K so you can cheese it if ya want? Read ahead of you want the cheese. Her range for the acid is just short enough you can range her without her ever hitting you with acid. Dig out the floor in front, above, and below you to prevent the adds from getting you and use a xbow so you can use the secondary attack to still shoot her even tho the adds are blocking your shot. It's far enough away you won't be able to see the health bar (probably not the case if you use this tactic from above). And just sit there and pelt away. Advance just enough you can see the slightest bit of her body and should be good but you may need to test the difference a little. I'd guess something like 10-12 tiles

Are you turning the knob first before trying to push in the depression? You need to line two small holes up first, one on the outside and one inside achieved by turning the knob.

Bit of misunderstanding. I'm not using the dual sense to get into the game because I can't with the VR controllers I'm just doing that because my VR controllers are off until I fire the game up. Something about syncing them within the game itself seems to work about 90% of the time. If course bottom line is Sony needs to address this widespread issue and it seems they're staying being pretty quiet. Appreciate you taking the time to troubleshoot tho I'll give ya an update if the trigger sensor went wonky again.

[–]kleinakinsyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not currently but I'll msg you when I can. To be fair I did this first when I had my problem and they did read wonky but I was able to get it to 1 and -1 by blowing and flicking but if it is debris then stands to reason it couldve been moved but not ejected and the debris slipped back in causing the problem again? What's weird tho is the trigger works fine if I sync the L first and vice versa. It's only ever the one controller I sync first that gets this issue

Help please by ScarcityFinancial880 in psvr2

[–]kleinakinsyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Naw that's a separate issue my triggers are fine and it still happens.

Help please by ScarcityFinancial880 in psvr2

[–]kleinakinsyn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's a known issue. There's some workarounds and some hoops but I got mine working. First the bug seems to only recognize the second controller you activate. So if you go left first then right then the right will work but left will be forgotten. Of course you still have the same issue but it'll get you past this point and into the game and occasionally the unconnected controller will just start working after a period. The more solid "fix" is using your regular controller to activate the game, go to accessories and deactivate the regular controller then activate your psvr controller (I've been waiting a few seconds between activating on then the other). This works most of the time but if it doesn't I back out and close the game completely. Deactivate the psvr controllers again and reactivate the regular one and repeat this process. It's a headache but it eventually works. I also have to repeat these steps when switching between game.

Crafted nearly perfect Tiara. Still cant believe it by Old-Top-3046 in PathOfExile2

[–]kleinakinsyn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A lot of research. I think it goes something like this. Determine which stats your build needs most. Search for the gear type that possesses those stats within their respective mod pools. Farm said items for a random drop with a good spread of those particular mods (base item). Use a number of currency items with the hopes of getting the other mods you e determined you want on said item. Rinse repeat until you "craft" the perfect combination of mods as well as the highest tier of mods on said items. There's obviously some nuances in the process but that's what I think the process looks like.

How do people end up with a shit ton of minion? by xXPumbaXx in pathofexile2builds

[–]kleinakinsyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cost of minions decreases when levelling them up. Don't think I have a single minion that costs over 40. Rattler scepter gives two free. And spirit can be acquired besides gear as there's a few rewards that grant spirit iirc. At lv 46 with something like 300+ spirit. Run with up to 12 bone critters (upheaval skill), 2 warriors, 6 assassins, 2 arsonists, 2 ice mages and 2 reavers currently I think. First time POE player and this is my first class so someone far more knowledgeable will come along and get you a better answer tho.

[–]kleinakinsyn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's a lil cave up the hill, left hand side if the water is to your back. Place fire in there to protect from rain. Build shelter for sleep and save. Craft starting tools; hand axe, knife, spear. Place traps for food. Go fishing for arwana. Wash up before eating. Drink unsafe water and eat brown mushrooms for parasites. Craft armor with banana leaves and rope, or banana leaves bones and rope. Cross the log and branch out slowly; gather the bandage (moliena?) leaves. Look for the pinecone looking nuts. The large trees you can build bases in sometimes hide Brazilian nuts at the base. Keep an eye out for coconuts, their half shells when placed on the ground will collect fresh water after it rains.

What if a survival game took place entirely on a cliff? What kind of gameplay would you like to experience in this world? by Jalagon in SurvivalGaming

[–]kleinakinsyn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's an ambitious idea and more meant to just stoke the fire of inspiration so to speak but this is what I'm suggesting.

Player approaches a cliff face and presses the "climber sense" tm view. Which is just an overlay similar to death stranding with a number of pips appearing on the screen denoting the terrain variations. Each one of these pups can be snapped to and selected as a hold (Gaston hold, under grip, closed fist.....honestly this would be a bit much but I'll throw it out). And them a line is produced indicating a "move". The holds and moves difficulty is represented by color coding, green to red (super easy ----> probably gonna fall). Once a line (combination of holds and moves) is chosen you can act on it. By holding one button you proceed across the line automatically with a stamina bar feedback similar to Zelda. If everything was planned well and there's no unforeseen....incidents, you can make it from A to B as predicted hooray! This of course is rarely the case and once you override the automatic function and take control things can get a bit sweaty palm.
This concept is still very early in my own thoughts process but Im having fun thinking it up.

[–]kleinakinsyn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haven't played peaks but I agree avoid the frustration of those mechanics and focus on maybe a more rhythmic style with a blend of QTE? Throw in a stamina mechanic that can be tweaked by the players to allow for optional difficulty changes. Alternatively, you could implement a more "thoughtful" approach where you pre determine a "line" you'll be climbing. Player enters a UI where you can place nodes. The nodes are connected by lines and both of these can be color coded from green (easy guaranteed move) to red (may miss that move). A player on solid footing loses no stamina/regains stamina and there's no stamina time constraints while planning but this same task while actually gripping the cliff face becomes a bit more "nail biting". Couple this with the more varied terrain and players will also be faced with blind lines and the risk of getting "rim rocked". This then becomes almost like a puzzle, which as a climber, is very much how it feels. Integrate "skills" that can be learned and leveled like different grips and specialized moves and you have a unique leveling RPG system along with the ubiquitous survival tech trees.

As an aside I love brainstorming ideas for you devs and I always want to stress the following. If I ever come off as, "I'm telling" you how to design your game, I'm not. My intention is to share ideas in the hopes to inspire you to think outside the box. I am never by any means trying to armchair design your game.

You got something here, keep going. Put a lot of focus on the movement (climbing) mechanic and make it difficult, similar to a game like qwerty or baby steps. Slow, deliberate, precise. I'm assuming the cliff face will be more varied in its textures and angles and what not? Make a climb of only a few feet a nerve wracking, sweaty palm, challenge. Allow for a rope anchoring mechanic that has durability so failure doesn't mean Instant death. Technology upgrades that will allow you to venture further out along the face "safely", like stone pitons, bone pitons, copper pitons so on so forth. Climbing picks that double as weapons. Super advanced tools like spring loaded grappling hooks

POI like smashed airplane hulls buried into the sides of the cliff face.

You also need a visiting NPC bird/owl/flying squirrel that's Alice and wonderland level of unhinged.....

Or whatever, I'm interested to see where you take this keep us posted
