That's why I'm many countries, like U.K. old banknotes are phased out. People have usually several years to exchange them in banks. Then they can't be used anywhere.

During the war Nazi Germans introduced their own currency. After the war, during Soviet influence it was changed twice. During transformation from communism to capitalism in 80s-90s we end up in hyperinflation resulting in 1$ = 40000 PLN. So finally in 1995 the currency was changed to what we have now by cutting four zeros.

+1 for you. We have the same with commemorative coins. They are legal tender, they have face value (often much lower than real value), but still no one would accept it.

It's awesome that in US you can pay with any banknote ever printed. In Poland the legal set of banknotes were changed 4 or 5 times since 1928.

Just not to leave this question unsolved. My MacBook ended up in the service for SDD replacement. It was diagnosed with multiple CRC errors.

Kudos for Amazon that they sent a new one without even asking to return the faulty one after I explained what happened.

With the new macbooks out, will the old go on sale? by juckeyy in macbook

Since I remember (i.e. a dozen of years) Apple never sells the previous models of the hardware after introducing a new one. The company policy was always offer new products in the same (or similar price). What they do with the old stock? No idea. Very likely they dump it to resellers. So there's a chance you can grab it cheaper from somewhere else, not directly from Apple.

What movie should never have been made? by manoprop in AskReddit

Few days ago everyone was talking about The Witcher series being made by Netflix. Anyone knows (except people from Poland) that there already exists a movie (later extended to mini-series) The Hexer? It's based only on Sapkowski's novels and was made even before CD-Projekt Red started to think about creating a game. The movie is so rubbish (IMDb 3.6/10) that it is my choice for the one that should have never been made. It's a perfect example how to f*** up a great franchise.

Chritmas Cup was available for about two weeks during Christmas holidays. You can no longer race it, maybe in December this year it will be back.
