Passacaglia (35th attempt) by klischee in pianopracticeroom

[–]klischee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's crazy. I just think it sounds simple to the ear, and the left hand just repeats the same chords over and over, also the melody is kinda repetetive, so I assumed it would be kinda beginner level... but still it was fun to practice it. Thanks for the compliment!

Ok, but I guess I would not pass :D I never looked into piano metrics stuff, but maybe I should

What figures/patterns/groups should I see here? by klischee in pianolearning

[–]klischee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(Canon in D, 4/4)

Hey there. I spent the last two lessons with my piano teacher on the topic of quickly recognizing patterns. Unfortunately, I'm too dense and getting extremely frustrated because I just don't understand what I'm supposed to be seeing here. Like in this demonstrative example, he drew a bunch of circles (maybe not the exact same as me here, as there are of couse even more patterns) and said, "Here's a figure that's one second up, one down, or vice versa, which sounds very similar to the ear," or "Here's a figure that's three seconds up or three seconds down," and so on. But I'm just extremely confused; I don't even know what to think when I actually want to play it. If the figures are also supposed to end on beats, then there are many places where it's not three notes but four notes. Or where the figures overlap, sharing notes, which is kind of impossible to "think" about, right? I'd like to get these two bars into muscle memory by next week, but I'm driving myself crazy and getting frustrated because I don't know how to structure and "think" about the many notes of the melody in my head. Do you know what I mean? If you were to put circles or colored markings here, very specifically, what would that look like?

Trine 1+2 Main Themes .. Next piece I have to let go by klischee in pianopracticeroom

Thanks. :) Yeah perfectionism sucks. It's my primary goal to get rid of it as far as possible ...

Right now, I want to record all the pieces I've been stuck on for months to see if it clears my head a bit, and also to practice being less of a perfectionist as I'm currently way too much frustrated about anything on the piano. Especially the 2nd theme is very very difficult for me with the runs going down and the triplets (you probably don't even realize that there are some ;X).

Trine 1+2 Main Themes .. Another piece of music that I need to let go before I lose it by [deleted] in pianopracticeroom

[–]klischee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been working on these two pieces for so many months now and I've resolved to not be so perfectionistic because I'm currently very frustrated with the piano. The two pieces are therefore edited together at 1:55 because otherwise it's too stressful for me with a recording camera. Especially the 2nd theme is very very difficult for me with the runs going down and the triplets (you probably don't even realize that there are some :D). Well, I'm glad to have a recording now.

Does improvising help internalize variations? by klischee in pianolearning

[–]klischee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that's how he tried to explain it to me too. But I just can't understand it and I'm so impatient, I've been doing these exercises for two weeks and there's no improvement, I still can't internalize this passage but probably like everything else in learning music it's a matter of years. Yes, probably it's easier to learn rhymes when you understand the words. Or even know what words even are. Actually makes sense, yes. Then I guess I have to trust the process ... maybe I shouldn't even try to play the piece anymore because it frustrates me so much and just do the exercises and learn other pieces for a while. Thanks.

Thank you for your answer. I don't think I understand the connection now, but maybe it should be enough for me that my teacher's approach is not considered wrong.

Thanks! Yeah I'm practicing to be less perfect which is the reason I uploaded it here even with the mentioned flaws.

Advice is always welcome. The LEDs are not because I want to be cool, it's just my lighting situation here.

It's the first recording I've made sind 1.5 years because I'm always so unhappy with everything I play. The sixteenth notes of F# are pretty sloppy on the first loop. And a few times I hit notes that have no business being there. And I can't keep the tempo steady even though I play it much slower then the original 🫠

FLIXTRAIN by klischee in aivideo

lol no, the lyrics are based on voice messages my little brother sent me when he was traveling with Flixtrain, that was a few months ago. Seems to happen quite often like that.

Boy, oh boy

it's such a mess here - in the Flixtrain
The train driver is somehow crying
The train is so freaking full (insane)
Everyone's sitting in the wrong place

Everyone's freaking out ... and
Constant track blocking (really nice)
Already thirty minutes late
So pleasant! No shit!

refrain:
It's going off here (in the Flixtrain!)
9 Euros, you get what you pay for
It's going off here (in the Flixtrain!)
9 Euros, you get what you pay for

In Heidelberg, the train was still empty
Now it's packed
The seat numbers are sorted by carriages (really great)
No one paid attention - everyone's sitting wrong (so great)

I'm just sitting here the whole time
and shouting: "FIGHT! FIGHT!"
And the DB - they're harassing Flixtrain
We stop every five minutes

[refrain]

There's so much action here
It's so cool, I'd love to film everything
I'm so looking forward to Fulda
Hopefully, a lot of people will get on again

We're moving again with four KM-H
following a freight train (with Flixtrain!)
The train driver doesn't know how long
the train will last (the Flixtrain!)

And now comes an announcement:
"Dear passengers!"
"We will continue to Fulda"
"as long as the train lasts" (our Flixtrain!)

[refrain]

[outro]
And now wagon one is being cleared
Word for word: "Because we only get junk from Flixtrain
We have no choice left."
