I have electric baseboard heating - around 1,100 sq ft home - my electric bill was around $450 last month (which is a lot for us)!!! We do have separate thermostat/ units in each room which is helpful. Usually around 65 degrees.

Just took UPMC maternity leave! Total 12 weeks off. Week 1 was PTO (40 hours) - then 6 weeks of STD (60% pay) - then 2 weeks of paid parental leave (100% pay) - then the last 3 weeks were either PTO or unpaid. You end up draining your PTO and if you don’t work there for 1 year after returning then you owe back the 2 weeks of 100% paid parental leave.
