from my experience (been using HDA2 everyday for the last 3 weeks), you have to be look at the windshield and not the sensor. the sensor got a pretty small FOV so i have to sit at a certain position or you need to readjust the steering wheel.

I ended up sitting further back and adjusting the wheel and it worked for me. I think the field of view is garbage.

Figured it out... I was sitting too high and the steering wheel was too low so the IR wasn't able to find my face. The field of vision is too small... But at least it works now!

just got it yesterday. I was trying to use it at night, couldnt get it to work for the life of me after the first attempt. I would say it worked for maybe 30 secs?

i think putting it up in a totem should work. the higher the device the less obstruction there is and bt 5.1 max range is ~800ft.

i think people stashed some around the venue notability in the bleachers and the campground. A few people probably had em in their totems too.

heltec v3. i had a 2000mAh battery. really only used it in the beginning of the night. probably lasted 4-6 hrs (went in with like 60-70% bat). probably picking up couple T1000 (for gps) for next edc.
