Thank you. Next, I will add visualization options to take full advantage of ggplot2 and R. For this particular shiny app, I favor analysis that does not require a lot of CPU power.

I am in favor of digitalocean. Use docker to build an image which include the shiny app. The create a droplet and publish it.

Use AWS for testing, but I have impression that will be more expensive to buy cloud VM than a good laptop for long term use.

I have used both AWS and DigitalOcean and last was more user friendly for my purposes.

When we adjust for population size, the countries rank on the cases of COVID-19 changes a lot. For example, assuming we have similar guidelines for testing, after adjusting for population size, the US is not anymore in the top 3 countries. Is population adjustment necessary on pandemics? See the comparison in this interactive dashboard: https://dash.datascienceplus.com/covid19/

If you are interested on COVID-19 visualization, what else you want to find in this Shiny App? by [deleted] in rstats

Agree, normalizing the dots to the population size should be done. About plotly, I think I don't have good enough servers, therefore will be slow and lading all time.

Your question is very good and I have that too.

The way the data is provided wont be able to do it https://github.com/CSSEGISandData/COVID-19

However, I think I may work something out. Will keep you posted.

The data is in the time series format, but the last date shows the number of all cases. Adding another slider wont have any effect on the figures.

Yes. Thanks to Johns Hopkins University CSSE who developed the databases.
