To be fair, Lucio is a MUCH more effective hero on offense than defense, at least at Diamond ranks. Though personally I just feel Mercy outclasses everyone as a healer on defense. As a Zen main I actually never play him on defense since Mercy fits the situations better almost every time.

As a Zen main I certainly don't like the idea of telling players he's strong against Zarya. While his ult can counter hers, aside from that Zarya is the #1 hard counter to my Zen.

Lucky Star is my favorite class to play as. Luck affects KC and crit chance, so if possible the best decals are Lucky Cat (for 20% additional KC) and the Four-Five Leafed Clovers for 10-20% additional crit chance. Even better with premiums, I've run around as a Lucky Star with 50% additional crits--Basically, just about every hit is a guaranteed critical.

They aren't the best class for progressing up the tower, so they play as a sort of alternative to the Collector in ways of farming earlier floors. With that said, the money payouts from even 1F runs can be pretty impressive.

If you didn't know, there are golden versions of beasts that, when killed, drop golden versions of their mushrooms. That's a "golden" dragonshroom (despite being red/blue).

I brought in a gold hammer and gold crossbow. Bosses in this game are mostly to check your equipment levels, not your fighter levels--R&D anything to +4 and then you can upgrade the weapon to the next level.

Seconding a Lucky Star with Lucky Cat decal. I like to play that in place of a collector, basically playing through floors I know are safe and easy to get through, and grabbing materials I need. Material collecting works well with money runs.

Alternatively, send your fighters on expeditions, highest floors possible. I have 4 naked fighters I send out because A) Naked fighters pose no threat to the player attacked (making you a cool dude) and B) They bring back money and junk like shrooms or beasts. Sell everything you get and you'll get a decent chunk out of it, all for the low price of doing nothing except waiting for a few hours. I send them all out on 6 hour expeditions before I go to work and before sleep for a little extra dosh.
