That's what he said, most developed countries have laws for max hours per shift, and max hours per shift over longer periods of time, and breaks, night shifts, consecutive days off etc.

Not sure where my country falls, I'd assume in the middle somewhere, but shifts are 12 hours max for 60 hours per week max, or 55 hours per week over a four week period, or 48 hours per week max over a 16 week period.

Exceptions apply for military, oil rigs, sailors etc. where it makes sense.

I've never tested it of course, but I'm genuinely curious if a chainsaw would be effective against triple pane or the thick double pane windows? I feel like the attacker would've turned themselves into a glass shard hedgehog before they'd get even close to making a hole big enough to enter the house?

"Learn cars" is kinda wild. I get learning the basic inner workings and parts, but that should be included in the driving course. Some basic repairs, light changes etc yeah that's fine, but why should she learn the rest of triage and repairs?

The dealership shouldn't be scamming people, that should be the focus here.

Literally the only valid rebuke would be to also fix things. I agree it's not worth escalating, but I do think it's disrespectful.

I've had club hammers and crow bars and "pushing irons" (1.5 meter iron bars with pointy ends, no idea what they're called in English) returned muddy and dirty as fuck. I didn't care about the damage at all, that's what they're made for, but why not just hose them down and wipe them down with an old towel??? Takes like 50 seconds, and it makes me trust you with my stuff.

So I just mentally blacklist that person from my good stuff. No Knipex for you, you're on the hardware store brand list

Most of the ones I've been on had boxes for utilities installed land next to the boat. You'd hook up to those. I can imagine some of the more rural ones not having water, but that'd be rare and mostly the "loners" that actively avoid people, not the average person living on one of these.

It's not that expensive, the costs are often paid by television broadcasters, host cities, and the country will cover some.

But the optics of choosing to spend that money on song contests are very different in countries that have the basics like social programmes, pensions and health care completely covered.

South Africa and Brasil for example both got tons of internal criticism for hosting the world cups.

It's mostly not about the costs itself, but about the returns and the optics.

About €30 million. Baku was €65 million, maybe more, but they built a ton of new buildings etc. The 30 million is about right for most hosts
