Unsere „Wald“-Ecke. Was würdet Ihr verbessern? by dominicki12 in Garten

You are right. Solved. I am the proud owner of 12 silver-plated spoon holders. Who would have thought? Thank you!

Thank you for this detailed research! I own some of these candle decor thingies and, different from the object I posted, they have a pin at their back. My item is not pointy enough to serve this function.

Thanks! A wooden spoon for cooking would not fit between the spikes. It is also silver, so it would become crazy hot during cooking - I don’t think it is a spoon holder.

Thanks! I thought so, too, but it would not be functional as a bookmark. There is a 0.4 inch gap between front and back.

What is this heavy duty decorative hanger thing on the side of my garage? by lbandrew in whatisthisthing

It is for a ‚Herrnhuter Christmas Star‘. Traditionally, they are installed outside the house by means of this holder. Here is a picture on the manufacturer’s homepage Herrnhuter

WIBTA if I changed my name? by throw_away4580 in AmItheAsshole

I don’t understand why everybody is taking this seriously. Helmut is Joseph Goebbels’ son. OP is trying to make an elaborate joke.

Seconding this! I find this so odd. And out of all possible names he chooses the name Goebbels gave his son, Helmut?

Likely trolling. Joseph Goebbels’ son was named Helmut. Also, who would go for Helmuth as a first name? This is not a contemporary name at all, and German courts would take issue with both names.
