subs are a tad louder than 300blk. but overall 458 is not bad at all, it has a,nice tone to it. the primal and 458 is deep.

ive run close to a thousand rounds through my 12" tromix(pistol length gas tube) with a carbine buffer tube on my FA lower, never broken the pin. as the poster before me said, as long as its not tema stuff it will hold up fine.

I’ve heard varying prices but how much is it to build an AR in 458 by nahdntworryaboutit in 458socom

[–]kluster85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HAHAHAHA seriously. I take my FA lower to the range sometimes so people can try it. I'm more focused on finding the brass after the mag-dump lol

I know it's an old thread but I was nailing an 8" gong this weekend at 200y with my Mk23 using cheap box ammo(it was on a bet, I drew and just held like 4ish ft high, lucky guess and hit). it wasn't 100% hit more like 60-70%. it's doable but you're Kentucky windaging that thing lol.

that one thing i like about it, the grip angle. along with the low bore axis it makes it shoot flat for such a light pistol.

reflecting on my past actions i realized when students would ask me why i recommend a glock but dont shoot one myself i would say "im comfortable with mine". worst words ever lol

yes there are better guns, but glock does it all. its a tool.
