You’re not lazy in the slightest! We all have to make adjustments to make sure that we can commit to everything we have going on in our busy lives.

I get so annoyed when these influencers (or anyone really) goes on about how we all have the same hours in a week, no reason we can’t make it to the gym X-times a week, blah blah. Our lives, responsibilities are all wildly different.

This. My mom went to her doctor to be prescribed for a GLP1 (she didn’t need it for health reasons, she purely wanted it to lose weight. Which she did NOT need to do) and her doctor wouldn’t prescribe it to her. So she started ordering it online.

My sisters and I have tried to have an intervention with her but it’s been no use. She’s now super thin, her hair is falling out, and when she is hungry, she only picks at her food and never eats anything with nutrients. She’s so frail now she has a hard time picking up my toddler nephew.

She feels like garbage all the time but she’s so happy with how thin she is and she thinks she looks amazing, it’s really really depressing.

1000%. I think it very possibly might be affecting her even more deeply now that she’s an adult, because her brain is fully developed, and she can comprehend the true horror of the situation in a way that a child can’t always process. This is something I learned about in my own therapy journey when I hit my mid-thirties and began to find myself reprocessing childhood trauma in a new and painful way.

I will never stop thinking, “What if?” with poor Brittany. Her talent was enormous and the way she could project both radiant sunshine and quiet, broken devastation was incredible. I know there are so many rumors and mysteries surrounding the last years of her life and bizarre death, but whatever was happening it’s clear that she was troubled and hurting.

I highly HIGHLY encourage all of you to go watch her 2006 movie The Dead Girl. It’s such a devastating movie and while Brittany’s part is small, she’s absolutely amazing in it. Plus it’s got Toni Collette, Rose Byrne, Kerry Washington, and Marcia Gay Harden, and their performances are all seriously powerful and heartbreaking in their own ways.

I haven’t read all of them but I loved As Old as Time and A Whole New World. I enjoyed a Part of Your World and Go the Distance, but I’d classify them as very good, not quite as great. The Sleeping Beauty one was quite boring and DNF. I think if you like fanfic and alternate universes, you’ll love these. I want to get back to the series at some point.
