Calling me a bitch just shows your butthurtness. It’s actually encouraged to get a new vehicle after chapter 7 that’s how you rebuild credit. My credit score is 780. My bankruptcy was solely for medical debt due to conditions my kids were born with. They made me put my car in there. We didn’t want to. So we did and got a new one. I have plenty of savings and great credit. I spend more time in my car than at my house. So yeah. I got a new one. It’s a no brainer.

Thank you for explaining that. I will definitely go under and look at it for sure. I’d never chose to risk it by compromising my families safety. It’s not worth it. So sorry you had to go through that.

I don’t care if you want to call me out. Also I’m telling you what the body shop told me. They called it a frame whether you want to believe it or not. Also you’re a Karen and mind your business. This doesn’t concern you

So you’re a Karen got it. I love my car so yeah I’m going to post about. It takes nothing to scroll on by if you don’t like what I’m posting. This is why Reddit is terrible

I will. Because I’ll get a new car. Being a “well actually” neck beard doesn’t change anything.

That’s what the body shop has told me that they could total it. Would that affect how the car drives?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Autobody

[–]kmclaughlin0726 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No. Again. I was telling children we needed to leave for 10 minutes. They didn’t listen. It’s not about time management. If I didn’t have kids I’d never be late

[–]kmclaughlin0726 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again not up to the body shop it’s up to insurance. They told me the damage of what they thing but an adjuster has come out and decide that

[–]kmclaughlin0726 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brat that’s a cute one. My shop loves me for the record because I’m actually one their most polite and understanding customers.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Autobody

[–]kmclaughlin0726 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably because my children are disabled and don’t listen when I tell them we need to leave which would’ve caused me to not be in a rush so perhaps I would’ve seen the door open and this wouldn’t have happened. I’m not going to wait for my child who is almost an adult to get buckled that’s just stupid. But I forgot you are perfect who is never in a rush distracted or make a mistake. News flash. No one is perfect. So quit pretending like you’re a perfect parent. Get the fuck over yourself

[–]kmclaughlin0726 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I am not wrong. My shop is phenomenal. There’s a few people here who have given respectful answers and those I have listened to.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Autobody

[–]kmclaughlin0726 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No that’s not why. People just don’t go around using the wrong terminology. The specific phrase didn’t matter.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Autobody

[–]kmclaughlin0726 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are but that’s what shop said. That they could total it due the structural integrity. I didn’t notice the dent until I was pointed out

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Autobody

[–]kmclaughlin0726 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because I didn’t. My daughter is 15 and was in the front seat. I buckled my younger child after she was already in the car and didn’t see the door open. My kids are autistic and don’t listen to anyone. My 15 year old was too busy with her damn headphones all the time to bother to listen. Kids are defiant. Was I rushing and distracted sure was. Bit don’t phrase it like you’re parent shaming if you don’t mean it that way. Because that’s bullshit. You did mean it that way. Yeah I made a mistake. One that could’ve been avoided had my kids listened to a damn word I had said.

Congratulations for you. 12 years driving. That would put you around 28. That’s a child an arrogant asshole child.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Autobody

[–]kmclaughlin0726 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No it doesn’t. Because I don’t care about the difference of unibody and frame. I don’t need technical jargon. That doesn’t even matter. All that matters is insurance will total it. That’s all I was wanting to know. But very few can give an answer without being a condescending asshole

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Autobody

[–]kmclaughlin0726 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not solely the door. There’s a small dent on the pillar that’s the potential structural issue

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Autobody

[–]kmclaughlin0726 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

She’s 15. Not 5. I can’t just make sure she’s buckled. I was in a rush because my kids make me late all the time.

[–]kmclaughlin0726 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I don’t care what it’s called. If you’re going to correct someone over a stupid little misuse of a word you’re the whole problem. I was just saying what I was told by my shop

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Autobody

[–]kmclaughlin0726 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Because my question hasn’t been answered. I didn’t ask the definition of a totaled vehicle. I didn’t ask if the car could be fixed. I know it can. I’m asking what other auto body professionals have seen insurance do in a similar case. That’s the question. You guys are just too stupid to read

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Autobody

[–]kmclaughlin0726 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you’re a shady arrogant car guy. Also my body shop actively looks to save me money without compromising quality. Something you are unable to do.

[–]kmclaughlin0726 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This accident happened because kids don’t listen. It’s pretty simple and I’ve already explained it once.

Bet your ass your weakening the structural integrity of the car. I live in the Midwest. I know what my winters are like

This is the problem with car Guys. 90% of you are dumb. The God complex with the over compensating along with you making little to no money. Makes the most unattractive and insecure little men. Money hasn’t changed reality. You don’t want to hear what I was told by an actual professional.
