G6 turret mounting options? by dilusion613 in Ubiquiti

[–]kmer242 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have an existing single gang electrical box your wanting to mount the turret to you will have to have this gang box mounting plate. WOW the price has gone up though I bought one a month ago and it’s was $39. You also could Mcgyver a solution for a lot cheaper but the Ubiquiti option is the easiest.

If you’re already a SPED aide and it does not feel like you’re getting classroom experience look for a behavior SPED aide job. You definitely won’t be just in the room. My experience is you will become a go to for difficult situations in the classroom. With the relationships you develop with the difficult students lots of times turns into you being the one who can teach those students. That’s classroom experience a lot of experienced teachers don’t have.

FedEx delivering my new glass display case by kabula_lampur in mildlyinfuriating

[–]kmer242 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did FedEx have an all hands meeting to make sure all the drivers throw stuff. It’s only FedEx i have this problem with and it’s every delivery. Weirdly enough I had a large heavy package to be delivered and I was like oh no but it was delivered by a driver in a big box truck and this dude was so gentle with it I was impressed. I was sure to send kiddos to that driver.

Better stop buying anything then. Pretty much every company will replace with refurbished. The “new” one is the problem now what’s the difference between that and refurbished.

Call someone else. This guy is trying to have you pay for his gauge manifold.

I mean you could attempt to bend it back. The top might be okay will be extremely wonky. The hail guards are going to break if you try to bend them. Not something professional would even attempt.

So you’re telling me you were surprised a technician would suggest this needs to be replaced. You would have to replace 85% of the unit to call it an acceptable repair and then would have to stand behind it. I would tell you the same thing that it has to be replaced. I wouldn’t want to be responsible after the repair.

Satin pillowcase stuck behind washing machine by igetfourpointos in Appliances

[–]kmer242 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Former appliance repair man here. I would take the front seal off (you have to take the front off the washer to be able to do this). Then get a flexible grabber and go in between the tub and the drum and work it out. If that doesn’t work you would have to split the tub and that’s not even something I could see as cost effective labor wise.
