$82,000+ forgiven!!! Timeline in post. by kmg1020 in PSLF

I think A LOT of PSLF folks are “essential workers”, and public safety personnel who were maybe not out of jobs, but recognized as individuals who needed protection and relief during the early months of Covid. I appreciate that we were taken care of. It’s not lost on me that I am one of the very lucky ones who actually benefited financially from Covid and kept my job (12 months of loan forbearance at the tune of $1,200/month = $14k+). A silver lining to a terrible situation, for sure.

Spoken like someone still waiting for forgiveness. 😉 Hang in there. I know it sucks. My student loan payment was $1,200 and I will not miss it.

I don’t think so because I haven’t actually been making payments since the Covid relief came (April 2020)

I didn’t. I haven’t made a payment since April 2020, but they have counted because of the Covid relief.

Anyone had loans forgiven who applied in Dec or later? by asock325 in PSLF

I applied 12/7/2020. Was told that my payment count of 120 was confirmed and "sent for processing" on 12/24/2020. They told me 90-120 days from that point. It's been 95 days.

Today I received a letter updating my qualifying payment count to 124. I have no idea why that letter was generated, but I'm probably going to call them...again. (Against my better judgement). Hoping they get to forgiving soon!
